The Georgia legislature is in the process of passing a bill that allows anyone to discriminate based on religious beliefs.

The horrible thing is, these bills will pass.

So it's time for civil disobedience. It's time to find the businesses that support this law and publicly shame them.

The only way to fight the law (besides the courts, and that cause can be taken up by someone who can afford a lawyer) is to make individual business owners regret discrimination.

Also if you have a camera phone, snap a picture of the person who refuses to serve you. (Unless they were told by their boss to, it'll be easy to tell) Put their pictures up and let everyone know how hateful that person is.

Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) is blocking legislation that tackles sexual assault in the military to push for sanctions in Iran. This legislation is too important to be used as a political football.

There are two different bills (I'm much more in favor of Sen. Gillibrand's bill but Sen McCaskill's bill also have merits). Both are trying to stop sexual assault in the military. This is an issue where there is bipartisan support and one of the two bills will pass if Sen Moran stops holding them up.

I am turning this blog into a stage for political activism. I am watching for women's issues in politics, and posting the congressmen who are most likely to be involved. If there is any legislation on a national (or even some at a local level) I will try to keep on top of it. Because if we work together we can change the world.

My transgender brothers and sisters in arms should be allowed to serve openly.

My privilege

I'm a cis gendered white woman, and while I have a mental illness, I am able bodied. I can only speak from my viewpoint of privilege.

Feminism has room for all our voices, but I never want my voice to hurt others. If I say something offensive, or dismissive of those voices please tell me. I don't want my rosy glasses of privilege making people invisible.

Except for TERF's. If I say something to offend you, good. You deserve it.
