I’m not an emotional wreck and doing a very good job of covering it up. But when I’m allowed to indulge like I am now, then this stuff does come out. But then acting’s like that. Acting’s hard. If you’re trying to do it properly, it makes you vulnerable. When you’re an actor you have to confront your true feelings every single day. And that’s pretty exhausting. Then you have to go home and make dinner.

Titanic (film) trivia: The steerage party scene was filmed on October 28th 1996 and required one day of shooting only. Both Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio learned how to dance the polka for the shooting. All of the extras were professional dancers and the band seen performing in the film was an actual folkloric band called ‘Gaelic Storm’ who were performing live on set. This was Kate Winslet’s favorite scene to shoot. She says: "It wasn’t about water or anything else that had to do with the film. I didn’t have to look so pristine all the time. I got to be much more relaxed. Leo was throwing me around and I was throwing him around. It was really a tremendous atmosphere down there."
