I’m limping along with no laptop, no internet access on my desktop, and a phone that only charges when you hold your mouth right. That means i can’t print documents, images, or shipping labels and i can’t always get online. So if you’re waiting on something from me, i haven’t forgotten about you and i’m not blowing you off. I’m just kinda in a corner right now on the tech end of things.

I had surgery a couple of weeks ago. It went well, and I am getting back to being able to move around and manage day to day activities on my own. My name is Rocky. I spent the first 18 months of my life as a trash dog in a nomad pack with a nomad human. We had to fight over everything and sleep outside. I am sweet and i like to play. I didn't want to fight.

I was hungry all the time.

But i'm not a trash dog anymore. Now i'm a sofa dog with my own bed and food bowl. I have to take baths and get my nails done and go to the vet, but i get to eat every day, twice. And i get butt scritches.

But i am still hungry all the time.

I am always getting caught in the compost bin or eating the chicken feed or trying to lick the garbage can. I'll eat the chicken poop too. Actually, i'm not picky about the source of the poop.

I've chewed up five sheets, two pillowcases, a dozen stuffed animals, the corners of a couple of sofas, a few leather gloves, a fair amount of lumber, whatever stick i could carry in my mouth, a few throw rugs, all the plastic dog bowls, two harnesses, four leashes, and an unknown number of plastic bags, from which i have liberated and devoured an unknown quantity of terrible and dangerous snacks.

I will drink any standing water i find in any container in any condition whatsoever.

I've gained 20 pounds and several inches in 5 months. My paws still look pretty big compared to the rest of me.

But my human says i'm a fuzzy suicide machine and if i live long enough to make the next vet appt, the vet is gonna shame her because i'm a little chubby right now. She says i have to stop acting like a trash dog 'cause i'm a sofa dog now.
