WILLOW WAS PLACING THE LOCK ON the movie theatre for the night, deciding to close early and since it was only her, Tiana and Marco, both students at the local high school, his senior year, one that worked in the box office and the other in concessions, were the only one there, she let them have the night off whilst she decided to get some much-needed sleep. Working two jobs, two meaningless jobs was exhausting, not just physically, but mentally, not that she didnât care for her fatherâs store, but she also was aware this was not what she wanted to do with her life, but she decided to move back home to aid her parents and she was going to do just that, for a little while since she knew her parents didnât want her staying here forever, they wanted her to live her life. âBye guys, have a good night,â she said, saluting them off before walking in the opposite direction to her car. Hearing someone, a familiar someone attempt to catch her attention, a smile appeared across Willowâs visage, glancing down to her stomach as it growled at the mention of food; how long had it been since she ate? Deciding she would put sleep off, for a little while longer, no one should sleep on an empty stomach, Willow shut her car door as she trotted over to Karma, a woman Willow had met through the other womanâs dance studio. At first, it was just something fun to do since Willow had an abundance of time on her hand, used to residing in bigger cities with better attractions, but then she grew serious and although she wouldnât use her dance skills anywhere else, she mostly attended to watch Karma dance, she was absolutely memorizing in the way she moved. âAre you asking me out on a date? Gotta say, Iâm a little disappointed at your game, you should work on that,â she teased, âbut yes, Iâm starving! Letâs share some onion rings.âÂ
Karma could asure that Willow had become a good friend of her in her short time living in Norhill Summit, not that it really surprised her since she was quite a friendly person, so get close to people was not exactly a problem. Having a friend to laugh with at her classes was something she enjoyed, made her job easier and her social life intersting and diverse. Besides, Willow had a sense of humor that matched hers, just like it was showing right then. Stopping next to the woman, Karma laughed. âFine, I can do it so much better. Youâre not ready for this.â Next, Karma kneeled in front of the other woman. âWillow Jiangsu, love of my life, my stomach is screaming for food but I need to see you face in front of me, devouring a super cheesy and greasy burger. Will you honour me with your presence?! Iâll pay.â She said the last phrase in a much deeper and husky voice.â It was a surprise for people who were just getting to know her that sheâd do childish stuff like this being past her thirties but it was something she couldnât help, an early lesson from her parents: have fun, even when youâre old. And lived up to that small piece of wisdom. Finally getting up, Karma nodded in direction to the diner. âBut seriously, letâs get going because Iâm so starving Iâll start eating you.â She warned. âAyway, how was work today?âÂ
