A 7.9 magnitude earthquake has hit Nepal. It’s sad to see that it’s not all over the news and that not many people know. It is our duty, as humans, to help those in need. Please spread this everywhere. Please pray for Nepal.

Nepal Earthquake: Over 1,000 dead

A powerful earthquake struck Nepal Saturday, killing at least 1,180 people (expected to rise) across a swath of four countries as the violently shaking earth collapsed houses, leveled centuries-old temples and triggered avalanches on Mt. Everest. It was the worst tremor to hit the poor South Asian nation in over 80 years.

How to help:

Oxfam - is an international organization dedicated to fighting poverty. It also has a presence in Nepal. 

Samaritan’s Purse - an evangelical Christian organization that works “in crisis areas of the world.” It has a presence in Nepal.

CARE - (Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere) is a large humanitarian organization, again with a presence in Nepal.

Save the Children - an organization dedicated to helping children in 120 nations, also has a network in Nepal.

Sticking tape on a frosted glass makes it see through. Air and glass have a very different refractive index, so if you have a rough glass surface, the incoming light is scattered in all directions, thus blurring the image you see through it.
