I was indeed trapped in a hole in a forest… (no temple though, what the fuck?) It wasn’t so ancient a hole, however…

It all started on a regular Saturday… or so I thought! My morning started off as any other. I had had french toast sticks and orange juice for breakfast, my roommate was being stupid, and I had spent my normal hour refreshing AO3 for new fics about Karkat (I’ve read them all already… well, I had… I have a lot of catching up to do now…), all the normal things one does on a regular Saturday. I then packed up my stuff to join my normal group to go hunting, as one does. I arrived as usual… but then, my day took a dark turn…

The group had split up as we always do. I went one way, and the rest of them went another. Normal things. I wandered for a while, silently looking for prey, when all of a sudden I found myself falling… I hit the ground with a thud. I looked up to find myself deep in the earth. I was stuck in a hole. It was clearly man made and I realized that it has clearly been covered up with leaves and sticks to make it hard to notice. Perhaps one of the guys had set this up as a trap for wildlife, then mistakenly neglected to inform the rest of us? I tried to climb out, but found no perch in the earthy walls to hold. I tried to call out for help, but my companions must not have been close as none seemed to hear me. Naturally, I then grabbed my phone… And discovered it was out of charge. I had no way of calling for help. And even worse than that?

No access to Tumblr.

I spent a long and horrible hour there… in that pit… all alone with no food, no water, and worst of all, *no Karkat!*

I was eventually found and helped out, not by my friends, but by some random guy who happened to stumble upon me. I have since been unable to contact those friends I had arrived with, and I fear the worst may have befallen them…

I’ve since spent the past several months recovering from this horrifying ordeal, only lurking on Tumblr, too shaken to post. I’ve only just now regained the strength to post again… I hope you all are understanding if I am slower to post than I used to be after this event.

Let this be a reminder not to tread the woods alone, lest some fool trap you in a hole and separate you from your fictional love.
