Lingxin has never had an actual conversation with Guan Yu before, and has only seen him around as he was doing his duties or whenever she happens to ‘briefly’ eye his swift companion, Zhou Cang. Of course, she can’t speak, but she would still like to know him a little better. Since she wasn’t busy, she wrote up an introduction before leaving to find the bearded officer. With her written scroll in hand, she finds and approaches him with a polite tap to his arm before handing him the scroll and giving a bow. The scroll was as followed:

Hello, Master Guan Yu. I hope you’re doing well today. I have only met you several times, but if you don’t know or remember me, I’m Lian Lingxin.

Excursions to the Stable Master in town had become a rarity, but any time that Guan Yu could devote to his steed, the ever swift Red Hare, he would take as much as he could. He had been in the middle paying the Stable Master to tend to Red Hare when he had felt the tap on his shoulder, and after he gave a few gentle pets to the horse, Guan Yu turned to his new greeter.

Lady Lian had been a young woman who he had seen and heard of in passing; he had always been taking care of something when he noticed her and therefore no proper introductions had been made. In fact, Guan Yu could recall was his Liu Bei speaking to him and Zhang Fei about a young lady and her brother joining their army. At the time, getting all the help they could was a necessity considering they had no land to call their own. Times were different now--they were peaceful for the moment and now Guan Yu could take the time to enjoy it, and reinforce the bonds with his allies. He let his eyes dart over the scroll before he carefully rolled it back up.
