The story behind this image is pure serendipity. What started out as a spontaneous Sunday drive with friends to Malibu 🚗💨 turned into a completely unplanned synergy of two artistic souls when I met @vivsvividmedia 📸✨. I’m beyond grateful as she (perhaps unknowingly) captured the exact joy, lightness, and freedom of this period of my life. She became the visual architect for this chapter and set the tone that shaped everything else you’re about to see 🌅.

This music opened me up to a new and loving sense of vast possibilities (in creativity and perspective) when I wrote it 🕊️, and my deepest wish is that it does the same for you 🫶.

Welcome to the Summer of Malibu. 🤍🌴✨

Lately, I’ve found myself in a beautiful flow of momentum and creativity again (like ocean waves, they come and go - that’s just creativity, and I’m cool with it at this point). It’s beautiful when it’s effortlessly present though, and I’ve been working on ideas while also planning to share something really special that’s been in the works these last few months. MORE NEWS TO COME ON THAT ONE SOON! 🤍

Really though, this is more of a check in on where things are and how a planned content shoot quickly turned into a spontaneous recording session. For someone who is so precise and finds comfort in preparation, a spur of the moment studio session felt daunting to say the least. 🫠

However, I’m ever reminded that growth doesn’t come from comfort. 🌱 I definitely had a moment of nerves stepping outside my comfort zone, but we ended up creating something I’m so happy to have been able to contribute to with my pen 🖊️ and voice 🎶 (where we’ll take it, only time will tell). 🍃

This last week, and the couple of weeks before, really have taught me about trusting the process and really trusting yourself in the process, too. As a result, it was a reminder that not all beautiful and worthwhile things are planned, but it’s really about how you rise to the occasion when it’s presented. 🎁

So with gratitude, I leave this with you in whatever way you choose to internalize it, in a way that resonates with you. And if you made it this far, I really appreciate you sticking by and reading an insert of this journal entry. LYSM. 🎈💖✨
