She didn’t know very much of her British dad Jeff Richards, other than that he was a multi millionaire who didn’t want to be associated with Demeter, and that he lived in the U.K.

LIFE: Persephone was born in Athens, grew up poor for the first 6 years of her life. Her mother Demeter worked 3 jobs to get by, their family had a history of being poor. She was never distressed, she lived happily as an only child with her dearest mother - there wasn’t a moment in her childhood where she was sad. She didn’t know her father, he provided minimal income to her mother to take care of her. A stingy rich.

The first time she ever met her father was when he came to discuss the monetary arrangements with her mother age 6. He wasn’t there for her, hardly spared a glance for her at first - she was practicing ballet in the living room for an upcoming recital, the Greek music echoing throughout the house. Perhaps that was the pivotal moment that Jeff realised that his daughter could make him money.

Not a day later, her mother passed away in a ‘car accident’. They say that her brakes stopped working, but no police report would change little Persephone’s mind that her father had done something to her.

Her father claimed full custody and she was flown to London within a day, shaking, terrified. Mourning. She was thrown into the Royal Ballet School in London, trained over the span of age 6 to age 16. She hardly knew her father she lived with, he hardly acknowledged her unless it was at formal events or if she’d made him some sort of money or fame.

She felt more like a chess piece than a daughter. She went en pointe 4 years earlier that normal, at just 8 years old.

Age 15 she met her father’s new wife, Rachel, a blonde woman who was only 8 years older than her. His friends would call it incredible, she would call it disgusting. She was quickly pleased to get to know Rachel and learn that she was only in it to eventually strip her father of his riches, and they bonded almost like a mother and daughter.

She excelled in ballet, becoming the youngest Prima Ballerina of her time aged 16 after her graduation. Her solo debut came around, something meant to make her father a whole lot of money, yet at the night after her debut, he passed away from a heart attack.

All of those funds went straight back to Seph, and her and Rachel split the funds equally and sold the house, despite her father not even having the audacity to leave Seph in his will - he’d tried to leave it all to Rachel. She gave all the businesses to Rachel, wanting no ties with her father, and the pair moved to NYC, living together until Seph turned eighteen.

She managed to hold a permanent spot in the American Ballet Theatre, and performs solo and groups shows very often at the Lincoln Center or at the Metropolitan Opera House. She lives in a brownstone in New York with her 2 cats, and occasionally teaches Ballet programs in her rare free time.

LIFE:

KAILANI grew up within her father’s rich business ideals. The first 3 years of her life spent in Korea, until the Kim Enterprise moved to America after the family had their first and only son Eun-Woo. He was the heir to the family business as soon as he came into the world - always outperforming her in everything, school, university, business. She couldn’t win, their rivalry starting from childhood.

She grew up quiet, always putting in her best efforts in everything she did but to no avail - she never received praise or acknowledgement, it all went towards her beloved brother. And yet, she never let the anger get the better of her.

She graduated with honours early at age 17, along with her brother. Getting into Harvard on a whim, she completed a double degree of Business and Science in just one year - the very same as her brother, age 18.

When her brother graduated, he was immediately hired as a co-CEO in their family business, while Lani was left with nothing but resentment for their family. Just 4 years later, her brother was handed the company entirely on a silver platter, the new CEO as her father retired. It left her seething, no relation to the company her family was built on except for just her last name.

It was cruel, how she learnt of the male dominated world of business so quickly - she wondered if all women felt this way, if that the only thing holding her back really was just being a woman.

So she made Kai Company at age 23, a business started from scratch, female owned and female led in sustainable robotics and electronics. She sold all over the world, hired all over the world, and became a CEO. She started several charities alongside her business for homeless, poor, abused, racially prejudiced. She created pathways for young women in STEM to work at one of her many branches or for women to learn STEM without the financial burdens.

Currently, Kai Company has over 50 branches across the world - the main headquarters where Lani works being in a New York City skyscraper. She is the only CEO of her company, and one of the most successful women in the world - a millionaire who could easily be a billionaire, but she prefers to give away to those in need and things that need action.

She’s 24/7 busy, and has been interviewed by the best of the best, but rarely makes official public appearances. She’s humble, and still never once has she let her anger get the better of her. Even when she gets a call from her dad or brother, criticising her business or trying to make decisions for her - over her 20 years of creation, she’s created a name for herself without her family.

She went to a local public schools across her entire years; not proud of being a ‘foster kid’, she tried to hide it but never to any avail.

She made friends and lost them, never bonding with any foster families. Anyone who ever got close to being interested in adopting her quickly lost interest, her behavioural issues too much effort for them. By age 16, she was escaping whatever home she was in on the regular, going out with friends - drinking, smoking, working in clubs. Constantly reprimanded at school. In her senior year, the depth of her life looked on her after a discussion with one of her favourite teachers. A realisation that she could be doing so much more.

She finished high school and ended up graduating with honours, cycled out of the foster system the moment she turned eighteen with no family, she gathered up her cash and moved to New York City with an accepted application into Columbia University. She worked full time during the entire course of her studies, 3 jobs - a waitress, a model, and a photographer. Now, finally finished with her studies, she works for the New York Times writing articles as a journalist for Celebrities and scandals, and does side paparazzi work taking pictures and scouting out local famous people, and conducting interviews at red carpet events and film premieres.

She’s convinced she’s an office siren who’s mysterious and cool, but she can’t keep her mouth shut for a minute.

FAMILY: Ciera is the middle daughter of her 2 brothers - her older brother Omar (34), and her younger brother Adel (28). Her Egyptian-Palestinian mother Saraya Alma (55) and her American father Jacob Green (60) met in their town of Ohio after her mother immigrated to America age 12 from Egypt - her father was heavily Catholic. They got married almost immediately, when Saraya was 18 and Jacob was 23. Jacob converted Saraya to his heavy Catholicism, raising their children the same.

LIFE: Ciera was raised very conservative, any remnants of the Egyptian-Palestinian side of her and her siblings heritage was erased by their father - beside their names. They were Catholic - Church every Sunday, prayer every night and morning. Being the only daughter of her family, she had to be innocent, ‘pure’. She went to a girls only catholic school, and was wed the day after she turned eighteen to a family friend the same age as her. Her only escape from her life was her paintings and poetry, she’d been painting since she was 8, religious imagery and poems to show her parents, that was the only reason they let her. But in private, she painted messages, wrote the same, self portraits, trauma representations, life. Painting and writing was her only freedom.

His name was Matthew Davis, but Ciera refused to take his last name. It was one last thing she could have for herself. They never really bonded, at least Ciera never did with him. She put off having children, never bonded with him - his patience lowered within a year, turning to abuse, both physical and mental. Her church didn’t support her, neither did any of her family. So she stayed. When Matthew discovered her art forms, he published them without her knowledge as his own. He became extremely popular, leaving her oblivious.

At age 22, she finally managed to file a report and divorce that went through when she turned 23. She finally was able to claim her paintings as her own in a public trial, she had to represent herself because she couldn’t afford a lawyer. She finally got a payout and rights to her artworks despite the uproar from the art world, and left her church and religion and moved to Los Angeles.

For the next 7 years she has continued to make art under her own name and gain her own reputation in the artistic community, she lives alone in an apartment, with nobody but her dog Jamila. Relearning her own heritage, she cut all ties from her unsupportive family, and lives in solitary.

LIFE: Piper grew up in the fashionable sparkling city of Newtown in the suburbs of Sydney and has been living there her whole life. She went to a Creative Arts high school for her piano talent and held a passion for photography. She was her school captain in year 12, and on the yearbook and formal committee.

When she graduated high school, she took a breather and a gap year around Europe for both the rich history and the cute photos with her best friend (Maisie Tant - 25). She realised there was so much more to life than the bubble she’d been living in.

She currently works as a part-time highschool English teacher in her first ever year of teaching, at the very same highschool she attended. Piper is the sociable somehow genius but ditzy girl of her friend group, who’s into niche things, weird music, yearning, and going thrift shopping and getting drunk after. She lives in her own apartment near her parents home in Newtown with Maisie and her boyfriend Shane.

But unfortunately for Piper, she just can’t seem to keep a guy. Every time she’s sure she’s got a hook, they stop returning her calls. Is it something about her niche-ness, or maybe it’s the spots on her shoes. Or is it her CD Walkman she carries everywhere?
