I have the weirdest headcanon of Kalim being like a really strict/a bit mean(?? not really tho) older brother to his eldest younger siblings
Just because in his mind he is like "I can't defend myself, I'm probably going to die before twenty-four... my siblings will have to take my place"
But I imagine that they (Kalim's younger siblings) haven't had the same "it's your fate as the heir" stuff. Maybe they have been kidnapped, but not to a bigger degree than THE heir... you get me?
So Kalim is trying to get them to toughen up, maybe like tough love or something. But every time he does it he like dies on the inside because he really loves them, but he wants them to be waaayyy more prepared than he was to be heir.
And maybe that plays into his eldest siblings not liking him/ trying to take his place.
Honestly maybe Kalim feeds into that!!!! Something like "I'm not fit to be heir" but he thinks that admitting that is selfish or something so he forgives the attempts on his life made by his siblings because he almost understands them in a way??
Not to mention I think that Kalim's mother and maybe Kalim's father are like overly concerned about Kalim's image. Which is why he never learns how to defend himself/never stays too mad about things. Because think about it, you're more likely to negotiate with a guy who is sunshine and rainbows and doesn't know how to fight over a guy who gets upset at everything and could hurt you... OR MAYBE THEY JUST DON'T WANT HIM TO HURT HIMSELF accidentally while holding a sword or something IDK MAN I'm just rambling... Just saying this because I think his younger siblings would have more of a like chance of defending themselves because they have different mothers idkidkidk
I also believe that Kalim overcompensates by being overly nice to his smaller siblings, because he really does love his family.
Idk maybe it's dumb but this has been in my head
