So first off I’m gonna say..LOVE this idea.

Second of all, I gotta say…I don’t..really headcanon Herm to be like, skinny enough for that but like..I also do? It flips sometimes so…forgive me?

So….

Here’s the thing.

As much as a watermech shipper I am..I..don’t think Robert’s dick could make Herm’s stomach bulge. Like Herm definitely finds 6-6.5 inches to be a really good size but I don’t think it’ll make his tum bulge. And Robert DEFINITELY knows how to use it.

With Waterbae Flambae is a maaaaybe? Like Herm is bigger than Flambae but maybe he’s big enough to show a bulge? Like I can see it being possible. Flambae would get SO cocky (heh) about it too.

So with Waterbat (or Soundwave as I’ve seen it be called too) I also don’t really see Sonar making that bulge? He’s smaller than flambae but bigger than Robert. And yea he would definitely be big enough in feral monster bat form but I can imagine Herm not wanting to fuck when Sonars that way? He’s..too big and Herm doesn’t want to fucking die.

Phenomaman is a bit of a mixed bag with how people view his anatomy but for the sake of this he has a dick. Idk what it looks like but he has one. And Phen is…big too. He can easily make Herm bulge no problem. He’s just..on the verge of unpleasantly too much for Herm sometimes. Taking Phen requires a lot of prep and a lot of adjusting time and depending on the day how rough they go can be perfect or too much. So either way Herm is gonna bulge.

I think Herm in particular has a tendency to see the best in people. I really do think that he’d try so hard to be friends with her because not only is he geeking that he’s like.. in her proximity, with such a cool woman, but I also think while some of the other z-teamers still see Coupé as Coupé, Herman sees Coupé as Janelle.

So when they finally have something to bond over, Herm takes it and runs with it. He’s damn near learning ballet with Janelle just to get some time in together. It’s.. surprisingly fun, and he doesn’t feel dysphoric about it like he thought he would (and why he avoided practicing gymnastic moves for so long, after he transitioned). And then ballet turns into just them hanging out, and then hang outs turn into sleepovers.

I like to see their relationship almost Prismbae adjacent, in the most platonic soulmates possible. They’re doing face masks (Herm’s is sloughing off, but it’s okay. He lays down and that helps, even though his skin is super clear), they’re painting their nails, they’re watching the french equivalent of telenovelas (because no WAY does Herm’s grandma NOT watch telenovelas and soap operas at home, that man is INVESTED). Again, Herm kinda finds himself. After he realized he was trans he kinda shoved everything feminine away (as much as he could, at least), so doing this is healing a part of him. Healthy masculinity.

But Herm’s favorite part is when Janelle shows Herm her collection of romance novels. Herm takes me as the type of guy that would love reading if he was able to, and he gets super excited, then gets super sad that he doesn’t wanna touch any of the pages. Janelle is like ??? I’ll just read to you?? And Herm is elated. It becomes a routine quickly. Their own little book club. They still practice gymnastics and ballet together, of course. It actually greatly affects both their success rates- and I’d imagine they’d develop a pretty strong synergy because of how fucking hard they are to hit.

Because they were so mean to him for no reason :(

Honestly they find out little by little in some of the most like, saddest/awkward timing/comedic ways. They don’t learn HOW, but they learn that yeah, they died.

Sonar and Malevola are the first to find out his parents are dead and it happens on accident. Waterboy greets sonar in the break room and Maleovla is there too. He asks what Sonar’s doing this weekend and Sonar just goes “your mom!” With a grin, expecting Waterboy to have a flustered expression. He doesn’t. It’s..blank. Then Herm in a quieter..slightly deeper and even tone says “My mom is dead”. Maleovla and Sonar are like “oh fuck” and Sonar is like “I-i meant your dad?”. Now Waterboy looks a little angry and he’s like “my dad is dead too.” And Malevola is like “Sonar stop FUCKING talking about parents for ONE FUCKING second.” After an apology followed by a joke on how Waterboy’s parents were probably hot followed by sonar running for his life as Waterboy picks up a chair (they’ve seen the vending machine footage), Malevola and Sonar just sit there like 0-0.

Robert is next on the list. Waterboy actually opens up to him about it. Robert is struggling one day because of his weird internal relationship and outlook on his dad (again) and the legacy and a bunch of other stuff. It’s raining and Robert us leaned against a wall smoking a cigarette from Visi (something he doesn’t do often and honestly wants to never do again but..here he is). Waterboy finds him and knows somethings up. They have a brief conversation before Waterboy goes “do…y-you want to t-talk about it?” And Robert says no, he doesn’t. And it’s quiet for a moment before Waterboy goes “My p-parents are dead.” And Robert blinks and he looks at Waterboy, horribly confused. Herm says they died in an incident when he was 8. Robert..awkwardly gives his condolences. He asks why Waterboy is telling him this. Waterboy smiles a little, sad but..caring. He says he wants Robert to know he’s not alone and..he’s here if he ever needs to talk. With that Waterboy leaves him. And Robert realizes one thing. Waterboy said incident instead of accident.

Flambae and Prism find out next. The three of them are hanging out at Prism’s home and they get to the topic of parents as they snack and watch Love Island. Prism says she never had a dad. Flambae says his relationship with his parents are complicated. Waterboy nods for a second before he goes “M-My parents are d-dead.” And Prism and Flambae are wide eyed for a moment. And then they pause love island and they turn to him like “Excuse me?” waterboy is worried he said sometning wrong and they’re like “you never mentioned THAT before.” Waterboy nervously laughs. He doesn’t get into it much (flambae and prism wish to know but they respect him) and he says “why d-do you think I’ve l-lived with my grandma for so long?”. They don’t know.

I headcanon Flambae is the best cook of them all but Herm is a very close second. Herm likes making lunches when he can for everyone, especially for outings or if someone has a bad work day or like, a certain day of the week (could be once a month, biweekly or every week) Herm brings in lunches for the team + Robert at work. Those days people look forward to. And like usually he has one meal prepped for everyone but if there any dislikes or allergies he tailors it to the preference of the individual. However if it’s the week of a member’s birthday, on “Herm brings lunch day” it will be that member’s favorite dish as an early or late thing to look forward to.

And yeah Robert TOTALLY offers to pay for at the very LEAST his share and Herm refuses saying he’s just doing what friends do! Flambae, Prism and Visi though are near by and they’re like “HES SAYING THAT CAUSE YOU’RE TOO BROKE HAHAHAHA!” while cackling. Herm huffs and scolds them, saying he’ll give THEIR lunches to Robert to take home for free too if they keep this up. They shut up and they’re like “please no-“
