The air hung as if all motion, all vibration, all of the world had come to a stop. A creeping thought, a quiet murmur of a memory.

Clasping the wall to stand & face the space that held you. Clinking my way down the hall I feel it follow me, Outside into the trees I feel it in the owls cooing. In the wind holding me.

The gentle symphony of nature's beating heart twined with mine. A world awash in the light of a waxing moon. No cold or fear in the howling night. A soul lit and stoked with intention. A whisper safe with the floating presence of her yet returned lover

where the heat of breathing far lacking to be a reminder of life can now only inspire momentary framework to what is perceivable

who all can bear witness?

melted snow forming to ice,indented from the weight of one passed who's heat was beginning to match the rest of the ground

a twisted tree limb hiding secrets and glares, accompanied by the scatter of frantic movement through the canopy

who all can bear witness?

layed beneath a fresh snowfall hides a beginning and an end for many things,

a rigid understanding of what it is to be without, chills rocking everything into an eventual cryogenic state, cries of nature devouring & dissipating energy

who all can bear witness?

at night the air is frozen in place, the world is to its fullest

only then will the secrets engraved in the tree's rings propose an exchange,

what all will one be willing to give what will one be without
