‘As a loyal player since 2016, I'm really disappointed in the newer releases (with a few exceptions ofc). Their stories went from thrilling books like MW and VoS, and heartfelt ones like DnD and Moty to, well look at the books that are currently ongoing. Their covers all look the same, like a book a middle aged divorcee would pick up at Walmart. I just hope PB steps up. It'd be a shame to delete this app after 4 years.’

Here’s the thing: killing off a black character isn’t the problem. The problem is killing off a black character in a book where all poc have been sidelined since chapter one to make room for the only white li/ one of the only white characters to shine. The problem is that pb only remembers poc characters exist when they want to kill someone for shock value.

Pb needs to give poc and specially black characters plot lines that consist of more than them sacrificing themselves or being killed/hurt for the sake of mc. Like many of you have said today: if a plot is problematic now, it’s still going to be problematic when all of this has died down.
