loona is such a beautiful project. the message these girls and their team carry through each of their songs is so precious.

there’s a line in the description for the butterfly mv that goes “loona causes a butterfly effect through music for the listeners to gain courage, find oneself and raise one’s voice. anyone under influence is another loona”. not only did this really make me tear up from happiness, it also made me think about what loona as a group represent, and i think i know now.

loona began alone, slowly uniting to subunits with the ultimate goal to unite and complete themselves in the end. they had hardships and problems along the way, but also many epiphanies, happy memories and important lessons learned. along this long journey to become full circle, they learned hope, resistance, self-love, happiness, believing in yourself and so much more. what loona embodies is the best form of yourself, all gained through the journey of your own life.

before any of us knew loona, we lived our lives. now that we know loona, and have seen them all come together and basically self-actualize before our own eyes, they want us to know that they are a symbol of what is possible for us. we can, through their music, look back at moments past and remember what can be learned. we can take the happiness and self-love from here and the lessons from there. it’s a butterfly effect, where we can decide to make a change in ourselves to essentially self-actualize and love ourselves entirely, and find happiness overall.

what makes us all loonas is the capacity to love ourselves, learn to be strong in hardships, overcome obstacles, find happiness even in little things and so much more. loona symbolises all of that, since the beginning of their project till now. they showed us girls from all over the world to remind us we all fall under this category. we aren’t just orbits, we’re loonas too. we define our lives.

loona go a step further with this new release. they invite us to release ourselves, to be free and FEEL free. when you find love for yourself, it’s the very same catharsis that loona speaks to us about. they’re encouraging us all the time to go above and beyond.
