Yo dudes, this was me in the ER on June 25th and it’s August 26th now. My right kidney was swollen almost 2 visible inches from my abdomen! I have an extra part connecting my kidney and bladder and it keeps pee from doing the thing correctly, so I was in constant pain for the 6 weeks I waited for a stint to be put in. The doctor now wants me to do a surgery (a robotic surgery!!) that would have me out of work for another 2 weeks and be a zillion dollars, probably.
Monday I start training for a teeny division of AmeriCorps that does literacy tutoring in local elementary schools. They pay a stipend, but it’s almost 20% less than I was making before and the government just started garnishing my wages by 15% for student loan debt. Also, there are a lot of background checks and lab tests you have to pay for in order to work in a school and I won’t be reimbursed until the middle of September. Yikes!
So anyway, I just want to not be in constant pain and I’d like to pee like everybody else does and I’d like to teach cuties to read. This makes me want to put my head through a wall, but if you’ve got anything extra it could save my ass. I won’t be able to pay my bills or rent September as it is now.
