Kent Melton

So for the final pitch of the project, I want to create a 3D models of the characters and I had the idea after I remembered hearing about the passing of Kent Melton earlier on in the year.

So I wanted to practise creating 3d reference of the characters in our storyboard pitch.

Character Models

Obvs not as smooth, would definitely readjust the skeletons I made as they were a bit large for the size I had planned and the clay was a too thin and cracked, espically around the torso.

Here's the 2nd set of storyboard shots, that I composited to make a 2nd animatic.

I will be making a 3rd one with the final version of the characters and the background cleaned up and finishing the characters digitally.

So here's an animatic of the first batch of storyboards we created. I adjusted the frames for a basic sense of the timing between each frames.

So for my part in the Research in the Animation I looked at the some of the areas.

Here I looked at Fallout, having played some of the games years ago.

While the game is more set in a post apocalypse setting, at certain points the game introduces preserved laboratories that can be explored.

The idea is the game is based in Nevada, neighboring New Mexico where we will set our story.

On Friday after our presentation we completed a rough draft of an overview of the scenes we decided on for the story.

Here's the final with the Phenome, MiniMe and Background. Again I did fiddle with the ease in and out for the MiniMe with the camera moving downwards.

Here is the background using the pastel pieces I did with the background and playing with the ease in and out to try to control the movement of the assets.
