Noah Korda is a graphic designer, toy packaging designer, and illustrator.

Butcher Billy is a Brazilian Graphic designer and illustrator his work is based on contemporary pop art. His illustration style is heavily influenced by comics and street art.

I really connected to his 2013 'Post Punk /New Wave Super Friends Project '. The project discussed what makes a pop culture icon. he crossed post-punk artists from the 1980s such as Robert Smith and vintage Archie comics.

The aesthetics and visuals reminisce of Roy Lichtenstein's artwork.

The music video is a social commentary on consumerism - a vast amount of product placement and advertisement. We are controlled and easily manipulated into overconsuming which ties in with our understanding of Anthropocene.

Roy Lichtenstein was an American visual artist who rose to fame in the early 1960s, He painted large-scale paintings and the subjects were inspired by popular culture. He was influenced by comic strips and later used a perforated screen to create Benday dots to show colour gradation and texture. In the late 1960s, he's artwork became more abstract.

We were given an icon from Anthony Burrill's XYZ foundry for this brief. We had to design an A5 sheet with the icon and the word Anthropocene. Researched the word Anthropocene and how I could connect the image to its meaning.

I thumbnailed a few designs and after crits, I decided to go with the phone hanging and the word Anthropocene being shouted through the phone.

After crits , I focused on the traditional goth and the teacup combining these images. I created two more pages of illustrations , and focused more on the colour palette of reds and black

I then created an analogue mood board , cutting and pasting images from magazines.

We were tasked with making a digital mood board for a cocktail , and had to explain the taste , ingredients, and origin without showing the actual drink .

I drew literal translations of the words I had associated with the festival . The first page featured illustrations of different goths and their clothing , while the second page featured illustrations I associate with Disney as Disney is one main components of the festival .
