actually, actually, getting to see Echo fuck up the empire with the clone network would complete me I need this more than I need air to breathe. I need to see/read about him being competent and terrifying and kicking so much ass. I need to see him interact with Rex on a whole different level than we’ve already had. See them strategize together and get clones out of the empire and build lives for each other. I need to get inside that head of his and hear what he’s thinking about the clones and his loyalty and devotion to them and the cause. I need it. I need him.

Tbh, after YEARS of drawing only white and/or Japanise-like characters, drawing clones feels like an euphoria. Because they're BIG and THICK and so fucking cool that I'm loosing my mind. I love drawing them so much that I can't even describe it in words (it's the feeling when you kinda want to grab a pillow with your teeth and tear it apart like a dog while sitting on the floor and growling.. iykyk..)

I'm know I'm 10 years too late to the discourse, but I'm rewatching Rebels with my husband (who is seeing it for the first time), and I never noticed how OOC Rex is. I can't get over it. Of course I know Rex's appearance in Rebels came before season 7 of Clone Wars and The Bad Batch, but even still...

Someone tell me if I'm overthinking it?

Nah I felt the same way! I have a hard time rewatching any of his Rebels era because it doesn’t feel like the same character at all!!

It’s been years since I’ve watched it but I remember feeling like it was campy and that Rex was cheap comic relief at times.

Altho The Last Battle is one of the few episodes that I feel did him some justice

#idk if this is controversial or not #but I really don’t like how he’s portrayed #also where’s echo #like something really bad must’ve happened for Rex to retire like that but he doesn’t bring it up #and it’s probably because they just put him in there without thinking of his story at all #no hate to those that like it I just could never get into it #like is his story really leading up to just hunting big worms on a deserted planet wtf they all deserved better #they massacred my boy #lol now I’m rambling #clearly I’m not over it #captain rex
