no no you have access to public genomics data and a computer why would you bother doing a little research before running the most facile analysis possible and submitting it as a scientific manuscript. why bother reading the previous literature in a field you’ve never worked in before when you can instead just run a simple little nonsensical analysis that no one with actual cancer biology training would read but that gets you another citation. surely because you’ve worked in plant biology you naturally understand cancer genetics. good job. gold star
