what do the states think of penn's food? are they allowed in the kitchen or no??? (sry i see ur food asks and im curious)
Penn gets to cook. Theyβre better than a number of other states. Theyβve got pretty standard food and also:
the master dish. The one they stake all their pride on. A revolutionary culinary invention: a steak⦠but with ~~cheese~~
And also chocolate which the other states are constantly praising, but Penn themself seems to downplay it. Theyβre way more proud of their cheesesteaks
From a Local, PA food is varies from, whatβd ya know, East, Central, West. I donβt know much about East aside from Cheesesteaks, (That no other state can get right. {Tip: Itβs not the meat or cheese, itβs the bun that makes it good..}) and Tastykakes.
Central PA, (My home.) Is pretty German. Sauerkraut, pork, and pie. Amish baked goods are incredible.
And West is mainly pirogies and putting french fries and coleslaw on you sandwiches.
also a local, from the same area. italian style food and pizza are quite common here. potato salad, macaroni salad, egg salad, pasta salad; theyβre all common too it seems.Β
As a Pennsylvanian I can say we have some pretty unique foods you cant find in any other state. You got scrapple, shoofly pie, Hog Maw, fasnachts, and birch beer, not to mention the best pizza in the country no matter what New York or Illinois claim
