Heya! Mun Chorus, aka Choco, here. It's... been a while, I know, and I'm sorry this update isn't a good one.

Lately I just haven't felt the motivation to work on this blog. To be honest, I haven't exactly had the same kind of interest in JSaB as when I started this blog. And this blog is old. Old enough that the story feels, in some ways, dated to me, and I have better ideas that I want to work on and build.

I think a good part of it is that I'm just tired. JSiAB has had upwards of 150 story posts over four years. That doesn't sound like a lot, but I draw multiple panels for each one. I think it's safe to say I've had to make at least 300+ drawings for this blog alone, and that takes a toll on a guy. It takes a long time for me to finish even one drawing, plus I've had limited time to draw for many months.

I've had other projects and ideas in my head, but every time I've wanted to work on them, reason says I should just finish what I started, and instead of working on them, I go back to drawing JSiAB. It feels like it's holding me back from pursuing the other projects I want to do. So there are four years' worth of ideas rattling around in my skull. Which is not a good feeling, lemme tell ya.

So, for now, I think I want to take a public break. I think it might be good for me to just tell you all I'm not going to draw for this or make any major pieces for it.

If you still want content, I can give character facts or short writeups if you ask (like what's everyone's Stardew marriage candidate or something, which is a question I put thought into) but the plot won't be progressing for a good while.

I can't tell you when I'll return to this blog, but if it's any reassurance, I hate leaving projects unfinished. And I do love the characters of JSiAB. I promise that at the very least, I will publicly explain the rest of the story someday, even if I don't draw it out.

Fresh: Well, no. I was blue, actually.

Fresh: Mind you, I was pink first, and really angry for some reason. Corruption reason, probably.

Fresh: And it was a bit of an out-of-body experience from what I remember.

Fresh: But for a while? I remember being blue. And I was fine.

Fresh: At least, until this cyan Shape came along.

Barracuda: I think I know who you're talking about. Go on.

Fresh: It's all kind of a blur, but she did... something.

Fresh: After that, I came out the Treeangle.

Fresh: You probably know how it went from there.

Fresh: Everyone was scared of me, then I found myself a nice place to stay in, and...

Fresh: That Shape stumbled into my cave one day.

Fresh: I remembered her.

Fresh: And I just saw red.

Hey, bit rude to rush, but yes, I am.

Sorry about the delay. JSiAB has kind of fallen back due to IRL work coming first. I'll most likely resume posting sometime in May.

Expect a similar schedule in the coming years, I suppose? An askblog is a very long project.

Consider this a hiatus esque announcement.

Barracuda: This is the first time I've met someone with the same problem as mine.

Barracuda: I've tried the Triangles and Song too, with Lilia. So, I can't say I have a solution.

Fresh: ...Oh. Damn.

Barracuda: Technically, I have yet to try the Treeangle, but considering how that whole fiasco went down, I don't think I want to.

Barracuda: I'll be honest. I don't know why you did that.

Fresh: ...Well, uh.

Fresh: Hi. Uh, never talked to a rock before.

???: ... Please just get to the point.

Fresh: So, uh.

Fresh: You know how to cure Corruption?

Fresh: No song. No Triangles. ....No Treeangle.

???: Explain.

Fresh: Look, I've tried them all, and they don't work.

Fresh: FYI, it did reverse some other effects, namely turning into a giant centipede, just not-

???: Oh. It's you.

The rock shudders, then moves, pushed by a psychic force to reveal...

???: Come in. We have a lot to discuss.

???: Oh, oh. Okay. I know them. Come with me.

???: It's like, a little past midnight, so uh...

???: Just warning you, the Sage might be kinda grumpy. Sorry.

The cactus leads you through a branching corridor of the Volcano, down to a strange hole in the wall blocked by a carved boulder.

Looks like you found who you're looking for. Lilia stiffens.

???: You brought visitors.

Lilia: U-uh, yes. I'm sor-

???: It's fine. Get some rest. I'll take care of things from here.

The sound of a sigh and a book flipping shut echoes lightly as Lilia scurries away.

???: You're here with questions, I presume.

???: Go on. I'm listening.

The nervous Cactus, Lilia, is no longer available for asks.

???: Fine. Where do you want to go?

Fresh: Oh, hey-

???: PLEASE DON'T KILL MEEEEEE!

It doesn't take long to get to the Volcano, surprisingly. Fresh tosses his tent outside and you enter.

Fresh: Well, we're here.

Fresh: Uh, anyone see any "volcano wise guys" or something? 'Cause I'm kinda lost here.
