But in a world where every single goddamn lgbt character or lgbt relationship is “up for interpretation” or some bullshit, it is fucking refreshing to have an actor sit down, and speak so openly about his character’s sexuality, and not be coy or freaking vague about it. 

He’s stated that Richie’s first love was Eddie. Richie’s still in love with Eddie even after 27 years. Eddie is the person Richie loves. Richie is both emotionally and sexually attracted to Eddie. 

All that, Hader’s words. He knows the importance of if you’re gonna have a character like this; commit to it, and thus he shoots down all the doubts that could be lingering, because he’s made sure there’s no mistake. 

You are not a good person. You are part of the reason why so many of our socioeconomic institutions are so fucked beyond repair. You. Are. Lazy. You don’t care. You are the same type of person who swears up and down that they’re a humanitarian, that they care so much about the good of the world… But who refuses to do any sort of volunteering or donating to actually help people.
