Rawan

يشعر بالتعب دون أن يبكي، دون أن يصرخ، دون أن يذهب إلى الطبيب، دون أن يفقد الوعي، ربما دون أن يمتلك القدرة على الشعور، لكن هذا التعب هو نهاية ممتدة لوجع قديم، انتهى الوجع وإلى الأبد، ربما تَبقى جزء منه يجعل هذا القلب صلب، يمتلك برودة أبدية، وهذا الجسد لا يستطيع أن يضئ لنفسه، حتى لو كانت حياته نفسها. يفكر في ماهية التعب باستمرار، يدرك أن التعب مستمر وبقائه كما لو كان أيقونة رُسمت نفسها في لوحة تعمقت مع الزمن. ينظر إلى الصورة الكاملة يعرف أن روحها ستبقى تطارده مدى الحياة.

“Have you ever been in love?” She asked playfully. He took a deep breath, “I guess so, awhile ago. But I can’t remember it.” She tilted her head, “you can’t remember being in love?” “I can’t remember her, I mean I remember her name and what we had and everything, but I can’t remember her. I know I loved her laugh and her voice but I can’t remember how they sounded. I don’t recall the scent of her hair that drove me crazy when I kissed the top of her head. It could’ve been strawberry but I’m not sure.” He paused, then closed his eyes before rubbing his temples before continuing, “I wish I remembered so much more about her but the only thing that comes to me anymore is how utterly destroyed she looked when I told her I was leaving.”

Life is a form of not being sure, not knowing what next or how. We guess. We may be wrong, but we take leap after leap in the dark

I admit, I really miss how things used to be. But I can also admit, that I’ve accepted the fact that things have changed.
