What we learn growing up to know as “being a player” or “game” is just emotional and psychological abuse and/or manipulation to use others a means to an end to ones own physical or mental desire or pleasure; or simply getting pleasure or an ego boost from others while manipulating and confusing them. What most people learn while getting such “advice” is the same tactics pimps use to psychologically and emotionally break down others. Very sociopathic insidious, and damaging. But it’s normalized. Mind games are nothing but manipulation on a emotional and cerebral level. Especially in the form of gaslighting or by feigning ignorance. There is no such thing as “playing the game”. It’s simply people using underhanded and manipulative tactics because of self-centeredness, ego, and the lack of seeing the humanity in others (and possibly low self esteem). Insecure and afraid of rejection, they play these “games” to get an ego boost, to prove they’re desirable, and then discard. Hurting others to temporarily feel better about themselves. That’s why players (men or women) tend to have what people call a “roster” or “rotation”. They need constant supply and stimulation, outside sources of validation and admiration built on false connections. No matter what they do, they’ll always be empty. Not capable of true intimacy or a connection that will actually be healthy and fulfilling.

Date someone who naturally brings out your inner child, makes you laugh, never stops flirting with you, and loves you a little extra on the days you don't feel so loveable.
