When I was finishing school I wanted to become an author. But I was reasonable and thought I should get a reliable job, so I went to university, studied life sciences for 7 years, did unpaid internships etc. In the process I wrote a lot of reports, recently a 100 page thesis. I still haven't written a book. I do write fanfiction occasionally but not nearly enough. I have however basically worked full-time for seven years without getting paid.

So what I want to say is: I wish I would have invested a bit of time into writing instead.

Try to get a plan B if becoming an author doesn't work. But also - write and do everything to follow your dream.

Your dreams will wait for you, but it's really hard to find them again after a long time.

Chapter 50.

“Can you imagine if I’d ever asked you for anything remotely like this, before Armageddon?”

“You may have been surprised.” Aziraphale admitted in Crowley’s ear. He ran his hand in Crowely’s shirt, from his flat stomach and up to his ribs.

“Yeah right.” Crowley couldn’t help but laugh, even as he arched up against Aziraphale’s hot palm.

“If I’d even suggested that we hug, you’d have turned inside out.”

“You never seemed like much of a hugger.” Aziraphale muttered. He got close and kissed his forehead.

Crowley closed his eyes and sighed. He’d be content with forehead kisses and whispers, forever.

“I’m a demon. I wasn’t allowed to be a hugger. And even if I was, you’d have discorporated at the notion…”

Aziraphale paused, just short of kissing his lips, and gave him a sad look.

“I’m sorry.”

“For what?” Crowley’s smile fell and he was genuinely confused.

“For everything I ever said about us being on opposite sides. For how I treated you as less than me. Less worthy…just because you’re a demon.”

Aziraphale hadn’t had the time to truly appreciate how unkind his words had been, for over six thousand years.

Guilt hit him and he started to lift himself off Crowley, with a more thorough and long winded apology on his lips.

“I must have hurt your feelings so many times…”

Crowley grabbed him and kept him close, silencing his protests with a hard kiss. That’s all it took for Aziraphale to settle down and listen to him.

“Your words never matched your actions.” Crowley reassured him.

“You’d quote what you were taught to quote, and then you treated me as a friend. You took care of me for thousands of years, despite what was expected of you.”

“We took care of each other.” Aziraphale corrected him. He delicately traced the outline of Crowley’s lips with his fingers, before kissing him back.

it was light and humorous all the way through

az was not treated as dumb or naïve for taking that place in heaven

az and crowley made up in the beginning of the film and were a team trying to stop the end times for the rest of the finale

the message would have been "we need to fix what is broken, not burn it to the ground"

Az and Crowley would show some form of affection towards each other, like a hug or maybe a kiss

Az and Crowley decided they didn't need god anymore, nor follow her rules

the metatron would have been dealt with properly

what would have been a PERFECT ending:

Az gave Crowley hope by explaining that they just need to fix what's broken, not start over, and Crowley admitted Az had a good reason for going to heaven in the first place

Az and Crowley say "I love you"

Az and Crowley being pretty much "useless", while jesus and the humans are doing the important bits by "being fundamentally people"

the plot was solved when heaven and hell teamed up against humanity (including Az and Crowley who's now explicitly on "their own side: humanity's side.") and Team Earth convinced Team Celestial how stupid this whole charade had always been

god had NOT been controlling everything this whole time and had always been more like a narrator of the universe, rather than one affecting the story

the basic rundown is: you use the search bar to enter a topic, scientific paper name or DOI. the website then offers you a list of papers on the topic, and you choose the one you're looking for/most relevant one. from here, it makes a tree diagram of related papers that are clustered based on topic relatability and colour-coded by time they were produced!

for example: here i search "human B12"

i go ahead and choose the first paper, meaning my graph will be based around it and start from the topics of "b12 levels" and "fraility syndrome"
