#Throwbackfeels I was Cadet Candidate 564, one of the aspirants for PMA Batch 2017. It was a dream since I was in elementary. It just looks astig seeing women in uniform with the short hair, etc. When I reached high school, my problem was my height. 5'2" was the requirement. I did take cherifer then hoping that it could help. Unfortunately, I lost hope when I was already in fourth year high school. During college, I would be amazed when hearing that there's an entrance exam being conducted every year in the city where my school is located. Abot kamay na lang sana... I did enroll in ROTC just to have a taste of it, Sponsor Coy kay hadlok sad ug mainitan (the reason why we were hated by other companies then). So that was it. I was able to wear the uniform once, had a taste of training for Rifle handling, competed in the M16 challenge, performed the exercises, did the walk like a duck when late, slept at the floor's gym, woke up as early as 4am every saturdays and sundays for a year, got a grade of 2.75 because I was not my commander's friend, did hiking for about 5hours maybe.. But in 2012, when I already had a job, the height requirement got lowered to 5'0". Woahh 😮 I had the chances, have a friend who had been a PMA professor, had a companion during the examination. But my fear of not qualifying for the height requirement was still there until the day of the examination. My batchmates were way younger. Some of them were just either 4th year high school or college freshmen. But I continued. FF, I passed the entrance exam (PMAEE)😊 That was an awesome feeling mixed with fear. I hit the gym in preparation for my physical fitness test (PFT)- run, push-up, pull-up, long-jump, sit-up. I was really excited. Then we were at AFP, VLuna Hospital. The glimpse of a cadet was experienced.. from waking up, morning exercise, eating 😂 (eating 1cup of NFA rice wo sabaw in 5counts), sitting, occupying only the half part of the chair, setting the bed and other stuff.. the full (as in full) 😂medical examination, the formation wearing white shirt, jeans or jogging pants, and rubber shoes with the pony tailed hair. That was great. Well, it did not end there.
