"Well it’s Chorra’s…..what the hell are you expecting?" he questioned. "Better place would be Dark Star"

"Mmn, I was just agreeing with you, man. But really, I didn't know what to expect. I don't frequent a lot of clubs anymore. But I guess I should try and make it to this 'Dark Star' or whatever. Because it's too cramped in here. And it smells like sweat and shame. Not exactly my two favorite scents mingling in the air together."

The woman's eyes were fixated on her drink sitting on the countertop before her. Slender fingers encircled the glass and she gently pushed it from left to right, sloshing its contents back and forth.

"The music's too jarring, the bass isn't heavy enough, the lights are too bright, the dancers aren't pretty enough, and I'll be damned, the drinks aren't strong enough. All in all, this club blows."

Portia frowned as she took her drink into one hand, turned to place her back against the bar, and rested her elbows back on the countertop. People watching wasn't even fun in this place, and it just put her in even more of a sour mood.

The drinks cost too much to keep chugging them down in hopes of getting drunk and if she wasn't drunk she sure as hell wasn't going to dance... since there was no way in hell she'd be out on the dance floor, sober, and trying to find some semblance of a beat to move her hips to.
