I Had A Baby!
Hey everybody! For those that do not know, my name is DeJaneā. Currently, I am 27 years old and reside in Los Angeles. I am a Media Personality Host/Entrepreneur and now a mother!Ā
On August 20, 2017 I gave birth to my healthy baby boy, Asher Amel Wallace. I will NEVER forget that day; best day of my life!Ā I was 39 weeks and 5 days pregnant. My due date was two days away. My mom and granny invited my boyfriend and I over for dinner at 3 PM. We arrived at my mom's house around 4 PM. As we walked to my mom's front door I realized I was having pain and was having trouble walking. We did have sex like an hour prior so I just thought I was having cramps associated with that. š Ā I didn't panic. We got in the house and prepared to eat; the pain persisted. I low key started to freak out. Could this be it?? Am I really in labor?? I kept quiet and used an app to track my contractions. Sure enough, they were coming 5 minutes apart for about an hour. I was in so much pain I couldn't even sit down. I whispered over to Randall that I thought I was in labor but didn't want to say anything because I knew my overly dramatic granny would turn tf up š I wasn't even sure if this was really it. Finally I couldn't take it anymore. I announced that I was in labor on some movie ish š Ā My granny started running around like a chicken with her head cut off grabbing her shoes so we could head to the hospital. Everyone else was pretty calm and tried to calm granny down lol Next thing I knew, my granny and mom bought me out a load of baby gifts for me to open before we left. I attempted to open the gifts but I was in so much pain I started to cry. Finally everybody got the picture and we all loaded the car to head to the hospital. I was only in labor for a little over 4 hours. I wonder if the Red Rasberry Leaf tea I was drinking while pregnant had anything to do with that. Initially I wanted an unmedicated birth but after feeling those contractions at 4 centimeters I tapped clean out. After receiving my epidural I felt no pain. I was ready to meet my baby boy. Everything was perfect. At 10:04 P.M. Asher slide out my vagina asĀ āApocalypse Dreamā by Tame Impala played in the background. My life has never been the same!
I wanted to start this blog to be a safe haven for mothers (especially young mothers like myself). I want all the mothers out there to know you are not alone. We all know how challenging it can be raising children, being wives/ fianceās ETC. and still furthering our careers and making our mark on this world. Through this blog I will be sharing parenting tips, experiences and much more. Feel free to share as well! I cannot wait to see where this blog takes me and the beautiful motherās I meet along the way!
