Happy 35th Anniversary to the album that started it all, Kill ‘Em All! Released on July 25th, 1983 on independent label Megaforce Records (distributed by Music For Nations in Europe).
Initially intended to be entitled “Metal Up Your Ass” with a cover featuring a hand clutching a dagger, emerging from a toilet bowl; the album title and cover were changed after it was thought record company distributors and stores would not stock it due to the title and image. Cliff Burton was credited with coming up with the album title Kill 'Em All after hearing about the situation. “Those record company fuckers, kill 'em all!”
