The blanket is on there because in my experience having something soft covering you is pretty good for feeling like you have fur if the weight + texture is right.

It’s still not something I 100% consciously do, make myself “feel canine”, but crops up more frequently and is an easier headspace to get into when I’m upset. That leads me to believe it’s something I do subconsciously to make myself feel better, even though it doesn’t actually work.
