This was probably in Atlanta. Just sayin’. Also, sometimes we call it just co-cola.
Peachy
Now this is good. Colter Wall. Is young, sounds old. Classic in the making. Get in on it early (ish)

Great article in Southern Living by my friend and fellow New Yorker/Southerner Elizabeth Passarella
The thing where you go in a restaurant and order a Coke and they ask that stupid question and the answer is always in the negative. In no uncertain terms. At least that is how it is where I come from. Pick up one of these amazeballs shorts from Rabble and Rouse.
The first thing you need to know is no, they didn’t scare me. My mother collected “face jugs” and they were just part of our North Georgia weekend cabin decor like the old quilts and antique furniture. But I see how you could imagine them freaking me out. I guess I always thought they were mildly amusing and weird, but not frightening. This one, and others like it we owned, were made by Lanier Meaders an acclaimed folk potter. In fact, if you like it, you can buy this jug at auction March 24-26, 2017. You can bid online. If you want to check out this jug and others from my family collection, go here and search for keyword “bloodworth.” Maybe one of these would look great on your mantle. Or frightening your children.
Check out this cover of the Saturday Evening Post in 1960 depicting Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta. Seems pretty idealized. Note the mix of white and black happily alongside each other, but in very stereotypical roles. "The City Too Busy to Hate" they called it...
The Devil Went Down to Georgia as played on guitar and washing machine. Gotta watch to believe.

It ain't even hard. #nailedit
When it maybe might snow a little in the South.
When the repair man saw what we did to hold up the gutter he called the duct tape "Alabama Chrome." I'm using that term forever.
Pee-can, pick-ahn, let's call the whole thing off. But also I want to taste these!

Love that even the NY Times is noticing the Atlanta Beltline.
