-Merlin hasn’t seen his sunshine of a younger sister since he has moved to Camelot.

SIX AND ONE SIXTH.

Just like every other morning the sun shone brightly down onto the castle of Camelot and straight towards the castle windows of Arthur’s bedroom.

And just like every other morning Arthur screamed for-

“MERLIN! GET OFF ME!”

-for Merlin to stop waking him up in such a bizarre manner as if it weren’t for the sunlight shining down Arthur could have slept for another hour or so.

Merlin sheepishly chuckled before placing down the tray with prince Arthur’s breakfast and shooting back up to tidy the room and collect Arthur’s dirty clothes.

Arthur rose a brow as he picked up the spoon from the tray and began to eat his morning porridge as he watched Merlin for the first time ever do his job without being asked.

“So what’s the occasion?” Arthur smirked, leaning back onto the headboard of the bed.

“What?” Merlin paused before wiping down the shelf with the duster in his hands.

“What what, you don’t just clean without me having to boss you around Merlin” Arthur chuckled

“Who’s bossing who around?” Merlin whistled, placing down the duster and reaching for the laundry by the door attempting to exit the conversation.

“Merlin I swear if you don’t tell me, it’s down to the stocks for you again.” Arthur sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.

Merlin rolled his eyes. “At least my loyal fans would be elated to see me again”

“Merlin” Arthur spoke demandingly.

“Arthur” Merlin cheekily copied the prince.

How could Merlin find it in him to tell Arthur the truth? His cute little sister was coming to visit, he hadn’t seen her since he left for Camelot. Merlin smiled softly thinking about how much she must have grown.

“Now I have to know! Is it a girl?” Arthur wiggled his eye brows as Merlin laughed and exited the room before the prince could question him anymore.

Throughout the rest of the day Merlin patiently waited for his sister to arrive in the evening, cleaning gaius’s living quarters over and over again with his magic earning him a smack on the head for his stupidity from gaius himself.

Both Gwen and Arthur had been following Merlin around all day attempting to figure out who or what was making Merlin so impatient yet they couldn’t seem to find anything… that was until

Until the sky darkened and the sun had begun to set, both gaius and Merlin rushed to the gate as the guards opened it to let in a little girl who couldn’t have looked older than six years old.

“Merlin! Merlin!” The little girl cheered, her (hair colour) hair bouncing behind her as she dropped the heavy bag from her shoulders and pounced onto her brother who caught her just as enthusiastically.

“[name]! [name]! Look how much you’ve grown princess!” Merlin spun the little girl around with a large soft smile on his face while [name] giggled.

“Gaius, this is [name]” Merlin introduced as [name] peaked out from behind him with a shy smile and quickly waving her hand before she retreated back behind Merlin.

“Heh, she looks more tame than you Merlin, perhaps I might just swap you out for her” Gaius joked, chuckling to himself while Merlin pouted and led [name] inside.

“Merlin! Magic!” [name] whispered as she tugged on her brothers sleeve with childish glee.

“I’m sorry [name], we can’t do magic here, there are too many bad people who don’t like magic” he tried to explain to the 6 year old.

“Oh” [name] pouted and looked down before Merlin gave in and quickly removed a piece of board from the floor and uncovered a thick book that read spells in Latin.

The duo had made it halfway through the spells before a knock on the door startled the trio who were all in seperate rooms.

Gaius came down, opened the door before calling for Merlin who sluggishly made his way down.

“Arthur!? Gwen!? Morgana!? Why are you three here?” Merlin exclaimed.

“When we’re you going to introduce us to-“

Hearing the familiarity in her brothers tone,[name] slowly creeped down the stairs and launched herself at Merlin.

“-her” Morgana giggled as [name] kissed Merlin’s cheek before shyly swivelling behind him again.

“Oh my! She is so cute, is she your sister?” Gwen squealed wanting nothing more than to give the six year old a big hug.

[name] nodded her head before proudly stating her age.

“Yea! I’m [name] and I’m 6 and 1/6!”

Arthur snorted.

“How can you be 6 and a 1/6 your either 6 or your 7”

Y/n stubbornly shook her head.

“No I’m 6 and 1/6!!!!”

Morgana and Gwen both squealed as Merlin laughed at Arthur’s annoyed expression.
