The implications of this!!
Obviously the earth rotates the sun not the other way around, so moving the sun up would have immediately pulled the earth out of proper orbit. Not to MENTION the rest of the solar system.

Nope! Much like how sunlight takes 8 minutes to reach Earth, so does the Sun's gravitational pull. The speed of light is the limit for anything massless, including gravity. The Collector would have 8 minutes to put the Earth back in the right position!
Unfortunately also nope!, you're right about the speed of gravity being the speed of light, but if he fixed it, the fix would also take 8 minutes to arrive, meaning that, even more terrifyingly, everyone would probably die in like, 2 instants, then (after however long it actually took for Collie to fix it), the worlds position and stuff would return to normal with absolutely everyone on it dead.
