this year is our year

put out a song and lyric video a week or so ago in case u missed it :) it's about how everything changes and learning to love how everything changes.

to be honest I don't think I would ever write that song now - I think a lot of my old(er) stuff is like "I'M GAY" or "I'M TRANS" and now I just don't .....center that part of myself in my writing in the same way? that being said I'm very happy I wrote that song when I did. I think it helped me work through a lot of things. and I'm glad it also helps other people in similar ways :)

ooh this is a good question...I guess I've never really thought about it in that much depth. but hmm I guess in my mind the order of events is something like trader joe's -> bathroom stall...and then the bed was never, like, a real location? slash "god's bed" is a euphemism for the bathroom stall...? (ie bathroom stalls are holy.) or even maybe (and hear me out on this one) god's bed -> trader joe's -> bathroom stall. the only ordering I can't see making much sense is trader joe's going last. but idk, it's obviously open to interpretation. I love hearing other interpretations of my songs I'd never considered before. hope this was slightly informative or entertaining at the very least.
