✊️ speaking up about how society is built around monogamous romantic relationships & devalues all others + how this specifically affects people who dont experience romantic attraction

😟 pretending that the push towards monogamous romantic relationships isnt built almost exclusively around heterosexuality & procreation (& also then in a very white supremacist / nationalistic way) & ignoring homophobia + repression of womens sexual desire baked into the fabric of our society

✊️ being annoyed that people cant get interested in platonic relationships in the media without making them romantic / sexual and calling for more people to get invested in representations of your lived experience

😟 implying gay desire cheapens / corrupts a connection between two characters + that its more profound if two people of the same gender dont want each other in a romantic / sexual way

✊️ pointing out friendships are just as important as romantic relationships

😟 acting like gay marriage is respected as much as straight marriage, not illegal in most of the world, and not like in your face disrespected even in "progressive" countries

✊️ getting sick of it all and reminding people loudly that people like you exist
