I like your fate comic but sorry for this, just needed to get this off my chest: i think Jinako and Karna have a more family-like relationship and not shippable, especially after you see what they said about each other in lb4. what do you think?

Iā¦ admittedly have been researching way too much about this and I believe this ship is not baseless, at the very least, people have shipped for FAR, FAR LESS.Ā So if you could, please keep that in mind. And this ship definitely do not hurt anyone lmao.
Man, this takes me back to highschoolā¦ explaining shipsā¦ Iām not defending it as canon btw, Iām just explaining why itās not baseless to some of us. I am sure someone else can make a betterĀ āessayā butĀ i donāt have energy to spare so Iāll make it as brief as possible. SPOILER ALERT FROM THIS POINT ON!
CCC:Ā Theyāre paired as master (Jinako) and servant (Karna). Jinako is a loser hikkikomori (altho has IQ of 200 and a champion in online gaming), and Karna is a highest tier servant, pure soldier-type. Despite being complete opposites, MoonCell determined theyāre compatible enough. However, Jinako is a crap master and Karna suffers badly in battles. But apparently the compatibility is more on the EQ side, they both benefit a lot from each other, even if not immediately known (I will explain later)Ā
The whole Jinako story is pretty sad and gutpunching, and I actually like her a lot despite her being a supreme loser in CCC, like the way she uniquely challenges Rani on a game of chess but I wonāt explain it here because thatās not what you wanna know XD so. But thereās some parallel between Karnaās past and Jinakoās story, so thatās probably why they were deemedĀ ācompatibleā. Anyhowā¦
I believe their relationship is purely platonic in this game. CCC in many ways are actually a story (aside the ecchiness) about love and its many forms, and I believe, due to Karnaās choice to change his ways in order to select the best choice for his master, and also sacrificing himself by saving his master by giving his Surya armor to her without her knowledge so she can be the only survivor of the holy grail warā despite the fact she has no redeemable features (her words), their part is a story of an unconditional love (in ā¦ maybeā¦ Jesus-like way, like a demigod saving a human, not romantic.)Ā
He said to her before he disappeared/dead that despite everything she believes of , he believes someone out there will be waiting for her. That was the end of their story. Or at least Jinakoās story.Ā
Or so I thought. I was wrong lol.
Iāll list these ā¦ weird inclusions. Karna apparently never forgot about her, even though SUPPOSEDLY, servants forgets about their masters after theyĀ ādiedā. But some servants donāt, so itās not that weird. the weird thing is that how much he mentions her/have her referenced around himā¦ in other games for the span of 8-9 years.Ā
Here are some tidbits about that, I may have missed some:
-Karna associates glasses with her when you meet him in Fate/Extella (āHeh, Glasses. How nostalgic.ā) and referenced roll-cake (Jinakoās favorite food) and how he needs to talk more because of his past master says so (Jinakoās parting words to him in CCC)Ā
-Jinakoās ribbon is attachedĀ on his downloadable bartenderĀ costume (Fate/Extella LINK)
-He talks about/references Jinako quite a bit in Fate/Grand Order : |Ā Bond 5 dialogue | Valentine |Ā 2016 summer event | 2016 Nero Festival | Fate/EXTRA Commemoration/collab | Summer 2018 |
-His travelling-America Craft Essence has Jinako stamped on paper bags along with her assigned class for him (Launcher) as his travel accessories.Ā Fate/Grand OrderĀ
-Her Craft Essence (Room Guarder) inĀ Fate/Grand Order features him on her phone screen.Ā
-His God-form (LB4) name is Super Karna, and he proudly claims Ganesha(Jinako) gave him that nickname.Ā āHm? What should you call me? Hm, no need to worry about that. The God Ganesha has given me a name. I want you to just casually call me Super Karna.ā
-Most the blush sprite of his are topics related to/referencing Jinako inĀ Fate/Grand OrderĀ
This one actually made me laugh out loud because I didnāt expect that at all. The only one blush I found somewhat unrelated is his last dialogue on valentine scene, where he wants you to wear the gift earring only when thereās two of you alone and you can miss this like I did (ugh) if you chose a different option, although his earlier blushing valentine dialogue did reference Jinako being someone who didnāt really explain what valentine was to him very well (he quoted her saying to him that the day āhas got nothinā to do with us (them).ā)Ā
-The most damning to me (that turned me from platonic to a shipper)Ā was actually his My Room talk about Ganesha:Ā āI was a man without any relation with Ganesha, but I feel very drawn to the Ganesha of Chaldea. Like a troublesome elder sister, like a friend I canāt leave alone, like an important, someone. Mm, if itās like this, I canāt be happier.ā At first, I was like oh, he only sees her platonically no doubt, but then when I saw the actual video with voiceā¦Ā
Why the devs chose a god damn BLUSHING sprite when he says all these? IT MADE IT WEIRD LMAOĀ And the pause at āimportant ā¦someoneā That was deliberate lmao. Sorta sounds like heās still figuring out who she is to him.(I canāt find the video with his regular sprite at the moment, only the super karna blush sprite, but ye you can try yourself)Ā
-The entire LostBelt 4 ch. 2Ā scenario. I COULD DEFO LIST MANY BUT maybe better not ruin the story. Iāll say one of the cool act was Ganesha/Jinakoās repayment for his kindness by taking on the most grueling task to give him a fighting chance against Altjuna, to the point she almost went insane due to the solitude for literally tens of thousands of years. But she was one tough cookie and Karna, DBZed up from training (and back from dead), waited for her as she came out from the solitary cube (CCC reference. oh god, tons of CCC reference). Before heĀ ādiedā, his final words were exchanged with her too.Ā Oh yeah. Ganeshaās skillset also complements Karna pretty much.Ā
I truncated a shitton of details like the text, the type of dialogue he said, his changing way on referring her and the possible reasons why he said it in reference to CCC, because honestly, this is already super long and really nobody wants to know that lmao.Ā
These foreshadowing/hints spans for over 8 years. Karna is one of Nasuās fav, and Jinako is apparently the Type-Moon crew request for Nasu to be included. No one can write Jinako like Nasu too, due to her weird speech pattern, so according to Japanese fans, anything related to Jinako in games were usually Nasuās involvement but donāt count my words on that.Ā
EXTRA CCC was written by him, so all the foreshadowings prolly were his doing. Imagine my surprise that Jinako appeared againā¦ in FGO. I never, ever expected that. She wasnāt even that popular from what I knew.Ā
But yeah, in FGO, I think they sorta level the relationship. They defo pushed it into the ambiguous territory, away from the strict master/servant/platonic, since theyāre now both Indian servants (one is pseudo god, the other is demigod) and on the same ground, both āsavedā each other, so they now are equals, which is GREAT imo.Ā
Of course, these are not sure signs about a ship (nothing is sure unless the game itself spells it out lmao) but man. Imagine if Arjuna or other characters have these many references related to Karna. Iām sure people would be pretty gung-ho about it and even create long-ass manifestos about why or how that ship works.Ā
So yeah, not trying to convince you anon, just a small part of my reason why I saw them as ambiguous and quite shippable ;9 IĀ think, just have fun.LOOK AT WHAT YOU MAKE ME DO THO, I HAVENT DONE THIS TYPE OF WRITE UP FOR AT LEAST 15 YEARS ;;___;;;; but I hope at least itās clear enough!
