I don’t need you to say a lot, just say something. Say something that makes me feel something. Say something that makes me think, dream, imagine something. Say something that makes me honor, respect, admire something. Say something that aides me in the creation of my own somethings.

Say those something’s over dope beats too - Beats that create an environment where I feel free to allow what you’re saying to be heard.

Junia-T says plenty of something’s on ‘Eye See You’. The sounds from the producer+MC from Toronto found my ears for the first time a few weeks ago. I commented to the friend who introduced me, that I Junia-T gave me a vibe similar to the one I got from listening to Blu and/or Scienze.

This is a good thing.

When listening to music reminds us of ourselves there are moments of fulfillment, acknowledgment and influence. When listening to music speaks to the dynamic emotions we encounter daily and offers a helping hand through them, those are the vibes I get from Junia-T. In an interview we hear Junia-T say, “Every day is a day to live.” and we know he’s right. We know because his music lends itself to our own lives…to be consumed in doses consistent with all of the other things we find necessary to sustain us.

‘Eye See You’ finds itself positioned to become a foundation of consistency for Junia-T. Structurally sounds and able to be built upon. Fatherhood, Family, Love, Culture, Honor, Respect…all things good for building. Junia-T tells us so.
