Jumbled Up with JumbleClan

BLOG INTRO

JumbleClan is a Clan being run on the Clan Generator game, specifically the dev branch (I know it can break I've played on assorted dev branches since 2022. ty dev team ilu) Other than me tweaking cat generation chances in the config file, it is otherwise a vanilla version of ClanGen.

JumbleClan is drawn by an adult and will likely feature some suggestive jokes/swearing/memes on occasion because said adult lives in a gutter. It will not however ever have any outright 18+ explicit content. It will eventually feature canon-typical blood and violence and character death.

I kinda don't know what I'm doing here but thus far it's been a really good exercise in learning to draw cats better, so yay?

All art on this blog is drawn by me in Windows 7 Microsoft Paint unless otherwise stated.

My WC credentials include reading all of arcs 1-4 including graphic novels and super editions, watching a normal amount of Moonkitti videos, and playing ClanGen since 2022. Also, I was in the trenches RPing Warriors on Club Penguin when I was 12

Eelpaw, eager to prove herself as good warrior material, takes it upon herself to chase off a kittypet by herself as soon as she smells its scent on patrol. Fogfur congratulates her on the job well done, watching the kittypet fleeing back toward her Twolegplace like a coward. Eelpaw actually looks proud of herself for once...

...the downside of all that glory is that Eelpaw becomes a bit of a diva, refusing to budge from bathing in her sunbeams when it comes time to train. Fogfur is actually more amused by her behavior more than anything since it reminds him of himself at her age, and he actually regales her with some stories of his shenanigans as a younger rogue....

Archdapple has a favorite youngster in the Clan and doesn't remotely hide his strong affection for Hazelpaw. It's good for a young cat to have several older warriors caring deeply for their wellbeing, after all...but Archdapple does also have some strong opinions about Hazelpaw's mentor's Clan policies...

Antstar doesn't take it well when Hazelpaw tries to get him to teach some of the advanced battle moves that Archdapple described to him as being very useful in battle against enemy cats. To Hazelpaw's dismay he gets this... haunted look in his eyes before using his Firm Leader Voice (which Hazelpaw has only seen Antstar ever use a handful of times) to shut down what Hazelpaw thought was a totally reasonable request for a warrior in training to make...sheesh...

Zapberry and Hollyclaw go on a late-night patrol so they can watch the sunrise together. Hollyclaw feels very safe with her healer and ends up dozing off right before the sunrise. Zapberry huffs a little in exasperation, but has to admit that Hollyclaw is very cute all snuggled up like that...

hi this blog isn't dead i just Forgor oopsies

I do actually have moon art through Moon 10 done! I have just forgotten to post it to this blog lol. Reason being is I thought i'd attempt making a backlog so I could upload regularly and then uhh...haha that didn't happen. I'll start posting the moons uh. idk. it's been a long enough hiatus i might just dump them all here over the next couple of days as an apology lol. shift into "updates happen WHEN THEY HAPPEN" mode bc this is a silly hobby and not a job

Hollyclaw's kits leave the nursery to begin their warrior training. The newly-named Eelpaw is apprenticed to Fogfur, who Antstar recognizes as an intelligent and skilled young warrior. Eelpaw, for her part, is rather nervous...but Fogfur assures her that she's in good paws.

Her brother Hazelpaw, meanwhile, is taken on as an apprentice by Antstar himself, and the righteous young tom is very eager to prove himself a worthy JumbleClan warrior.

A big thunderstorm rumbles across the territory, and the booms of thunder spook Hazelpaw very badly…who learns that Zapberry and even Archdapple are not immune to loud booming thunderclaps either. They end up all huddling together for comfort until the storm blows over.

Antstar helps Burnhollow out with some training exercises and…ends up brushing up closer to her than intended while correcting her stance during an exercise. This flusters them both much more than intended and briefly derails the training session while they stammer and cool off, Antstar apologizing profusely for getting a bit too personal…but Burnhollow really didn't seem to mind it terribly at all.

Hazelkit beats Zapberry in a race, and while she's a bit peeved about it...she does have to admit that Hazelkit's zeal for learning his future warrior skills does remind her a lot of herself at her age. Sighhh...

Burnhollow sees Eelkit freaking out over a spider, and attempts to impart upon her the philosophy of leading bugs out of camp alive rather than killing them...but ultimately, Eelkit still holds strong negative opinions of creepy crawlies. Burnhollow has to admit defeat on this one...didn't go right, much like many other things in her life. Really, is it any wonder? She's sure she's not StarClan's favorite. Too soft for them, probably.

Archdapple feels very adamantly about aggressively enforcing JumbleClan's borders with how young and small of a Clan it is...but Antstar disagrees, hesitant to provoke neighboring rogues and Clans beyond what is strictly necessary for maintaining the border. JumbleClan is a young and small Clan after all. Archdapple struggles to take Antstar's relative pacifism seriously, and Antstar frankly wishes Archdapple would just pipe down and follow orders...

Later on, Archdapple decides to take his anger out on a trespassing rogue after discovering their pawprints on JumbleClan territory, because that is, technically, well within Antstar's orders to do his job! And...Hollyclaw gets to demonstrate how she earned her -claw suffix. Despite her bubbly and often carefree personality, it is unwise to underestimate her.

Antstar finally works up the nerve to try and be a little flirty around his very pretty healer. Exactly none of it is landing well with Zapberry, who is trying to focus on the job that she'd rather not be doing, but has to. Buzz off, old man.

Zapberry finds some dried laurels to adorn herself with, feeling that the new accessory really adds to her looks. Antstar silently but enthusiastically agrees, quietly nursing a one-sided crush.

Hazelkit catches Archdapple staring into space and is a bit unnerved by the intensity in his deputy's eyes before Archdapple seems to snap out of it and greets him in a very friendly manner. Hazelkit's determination to win his playfights and prepare for his apprenticeship have already impressed Archdapple quite a bit.

Burnhollow is glad to see someone besides herself that spares the lives of the little bugs in the camp...even if Fogfur's reasons are much more selfish than hers. Fogfur knows well the sheer harassment that ghostly flies can provide in the dead of night. No thanks, he says. Burnhollow greatly appreciates his actions regardless.
