The classroom is empty, the sunset sun shines through the window, the curtains gently flutter in the wind, causing the sunlight to dance from there.
Music covers the whole space. On a clean desk, two students sat facing each other. They are listening to music together, enjoying the same gentle melody.
Tsukishima is very popular with girls. They gave him sweet chocolates on Valentine's Day, sent him letters hoping to get to know him or tried to make an impression on him even though he didn't really care for them.
Tsukishima is a badass but he still respects everyone, he can't agree to please anyone but he won't be mean enough to make fun of them either.
But there's something different about you, you're mysterious and completely uninterested in Tsukishima like the other girls.
He's not upset about it because he doesn't care when it comes to attention. But something exudes from you since then.
You rush to the library, holding a file in hand. You accidentally bump into Tsukishima while he's on his way to class.
You hurriedly picked up the notes you had to give the librarian. You say sorry and then add a few more strange sentences that make Tsukishima difficult to understand.
He picks up some documents for you, and when he turns his head to look at your face he is strangely attracted.
Your face isn't super pretty, but it's easy on the eyes. Your eyes though, they're looking at Tsukishima affectionately, they're smiling at him.
"Sorry again. Thanks for helping me pick it up, Tsukishima". You smiled, causing Tsukishima to quickly look away, a very strange feeling in his heart.
How do you know his name? He wondered if the two had met before.
It was strange that someone like Tsukishima, who didn't care much about his surroundings, was noticed by a girl's eyes and smile. Tsukishima puts on his headphones, using music to dispel the strange sensations.
He walked down the hallway and went to his classroom, there was no one there. Because Tsukishima has to leave early today for daily duty, so everyone hasn't come yet.
When he was standing at the door, your silhouette passed by, surprising Tsukishima.
You are in the same class as him. Why did he only realize it now?
He pretended not to care and then prepared to clean up like a normal day.
He took off his uniform shirt, put on only his shirt underneath, rolled up his sleeves, and started cleaning the board. You sit there, put on your headphones and take out a book to read.
"So she likes reading books and listening to music?". Tsukishima thought to himself. When you pull up a section of your hair to reveal more of your face, he somehow seems drawn to it. Maybe after sinking into your friend's eyes he couldn't get out of them.
Tsukishima took the vase and walked out of the classroom so that instead there were some withered flowers. The flower petals on the boy's hand were pitifully weak. He coldly cuts them off and replaces them with fresh flowers that bloom in the sunlight.
Passing his classroom, he heard a voice. Not a special voice but it's soft and warm. Your voice, it once again attracted the guy in a strange way.
He stopped in front of the door to hear the song, the lyrics were familiar. This song seems like he's heard it, many times.
"Tsuki. Why don't you come and ask me to go with you today?".
"Yamaguchi?". The enjoyment time ended when Yamaguchi arrived. He had to go on duty today, so he went ahead without asking Yamaguchi.
"Tsuki, what are you doing standing there?"
"Nothing is just changing the vase." Tsukishima answered casually and walked into the classroom acting as normal as usual even though he really had something he wanted to say.
"It would be nice to hear a little more".
Coincidentally your seat is right next to Tsukishima, normally he just glances out the window but now it's you.
Surprisingly, you are also quite popular with the boys in your class. You also receive some letters, although not too many, but they are always long with cheesy sentences.
Was Tsukishima upset about it? No. A little bit. Rather, he was annoyed because he felt that way himself, this feeling was so annoying it persisted with him. In the strange way that Tsukishima has noticed you and even more strangely since it's been over two weeks, it's neither temporary nor spontaneous. That thing was his true feelings.
Days later, not only did he look at you you started staring at Tsukishima. You look at him and smile happily as you both make eye contact.
He tried to avoid it a few times but gradually got used to it, when both of them looked at each other for no reason at all.
Neither of them said anything, but both seemed to know what the other was feeling.
The two of you had a few conversations to begin with, you were always the first to initiate a conversation and you didn't mind it. You two talk about books at the library, you lend him a book and so does he. He loves the scent of your books, it's soft and sweet every time he opens it. It's like the smell of you, he feels like he's next to you every time he's reading a book. He also secretly records your voice and plays it every time he reads a book. It's his favorite song.
You like to read poetry and stories, they are peaceful and beautiful so Tsukishima reads them too. He may not feel the same way as you but he always tries to be able to talk to you about them.
Sometimes you are told about volleyball by Tsukishima as a journey of him and his friends at the club, you have fun and enjoy them a lot.
Tsukishima starts to blush next to you. He's always acting so normal but every time he's around you it seems like he just can't stand it.
He wants to kiss you, he wants to hold your hand and hug you a lot. He loves the books you read, he loves the songs you sing. Tsukishima Kei loves you.
One day when you were both on duty, you were cleaning the board and Tsukishima was cleaning table. He heard a song while working.
"That song sounds good, doesn't it?".
"W-What?". Tsukishima forgot to plug in the headset cord, he was quite startled when he realized this, so he hurriedly turned it off. He doesn't want you to see him as a stalker because it's a recording of your voice.
"Can we stop and talk for a bit?". You ask Tsukishima, he just nodded slightly without answering, it seems he won't be able to lie to you anymore.
You're looking for something in a cupboard at the back of the classroom and he's sitting back in his seat with a bit of trepidation. How could he be so stupid in that moment?
You take out an old music player that is dusty and looks like it is no longer working. You take a towel to wipe away the dust outside and use the simplest way to get it working again.
"Here". You walk up to him, take a record from your pocket and push it into the player. The song slowly plays, both of you are silent and listen to its intro.
You start the conversation by introducing the song. You two have talked about books many times, but not music.
"Tsukishima do you like this song?".
"Um, yes". This song is very familiar, almost few people listen to it now because there are more new tracks but the feeling it gives has made it one of his favorite songs.
The word "last year" Tsukishima doesn't understand what you mean, but he sounds like you're referring to something from the past.
"A student posted on the school's website an audio recording of a student's voice. It attracted many listeners and many others also knew about it. The recording was from a female student. student was singing when she was alone and it was secretly recorded. She found the student and told him to take it down. She was rejected because the student thought she was overdoing it and its popularity, but actually when her mother found out about it, scolded her and talked about her singing as a joke, she said music never helped her succeed. She can only sing when she's alone, alone, without anyone listening."
You tell stories with a strangely serious voice, your usual smiling eyes now seem to be mixed with anger.
"That girl is you." From the very first words, Tsukishima knew who you were talking about. He seems to know what you mean when you tell him about that story.
"That's right. What am I looking for when I tell you?". Your voice is a bit sadder than usual, the closer you get to the end of the sentence, the smaller you say it.
Feeling sorry? Apologize? Sad?
Whether he feels anything in it at all, you don't know.
"You love music, don't you?"
You are surprised by his question. This feeling, the regret you don't know why you feel it.
Music, the notes and the melodies, they save your soul. Your love for each other makes you feel alive, whether happy or sad.
"So no matter how much your mother said it was a joke or something, when you sang, you weren't lying."
Lie, to whom did you lie. Everyone, your eyes are always smiling whether it's really funny or not. You're always fine when someone asks you whether it's real or not. But when it's just you and the music, you get to live in your world, you're not lying to yourself.
You cried in your heart, cried a lot because of Tsukishima's words. You raised your hand to rub your eyes when a few tears fell. The first time you feel, you have not lied in front of a person.
His large hand gently touches yours, you seem to be moved by that tenderness. Soft music in the room makes your emotions more intense.
"You love music, I love you".
What did he just say? You blushed at the words you heard, his words making your heart beat faster.
Shame, I'm sure Tsukishima would feel it a lot if you told him to say that one more time. He said it already, said his love. He knew he couldn't escape it, his true feelings.
"Your love, no matter who or what, if it's sincere and intense, it's always beautiful."
Your sweet voice soothes the shy blonde. Obviously your heart is also beating very fast when you hear his confession but something makes you feel so happy.
You approached Tsukishima's face and gave him a soft kiss on the lips. Your hands are raised, one side smoothing his hair and the other rubbing along his jawline.
Tsukishima's lips are softer than you think. It makes you move, makes you happy, so when you leave his face you feel a little nostalgic.
You smiled shyly and stared at Tsukishima's face while your face turned red. You tilt your head so that part of your hair falls down your face making you look more beautiful now than ever. Tsukishima's face flushed at your beauty. He's in love with the feeling of your lips touching his, so sweet.
Tsukishima got up from his seat and approached you. He leans down, lovingly looking into your face. Give you back a gentle kiss like you did. One of his hands is also up to stroke your hair, the other is also gently caressing your face.
You almost melt at his tenderness. You shyly bit your lip, embarrassed looking at his face.
He, like you, is also red in the face. Both of you know what the other is feeling.
He holds you in his arms, enjoying the feeling of being this close to you for the first time.
He loves you as much as he loves all of you. From the books, the voice, the scent, the eyes, the hair to the smile.
Tsukishima's hands touched your cheeks lightly, looking at you affectionately. He must have been waiting for this for a long time.
That strange feeling appeared suddenly and turned into love. A beautiful and intense love.
The light of the sunset gradually faded, the soft melody still enveloped the whole classroom. The room is now just you and him, only you and Tsukishima Kei.
"I really love this song".
The two of you shyly looked into each other's eyes. The two shyly looked into each other's eyes. This scene is just like the romantic moments in the end of shojo manga you read, just a little more.
He moves closer and closer to your face, gently placing his lips on yours. Gently rub your cheeks with both hands and then move to kiss your forehead lightly.
He hugs you in happiness, he loves this moment.
"I love music and i love you too, Kei."
