In 1863, Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote a recommendation letter for Walt Whitman, who sought a government clerkship: “He is known to me as a man of strong original genius, combining, with marked eccentricities, great powers & valuable traits of character: a self-relying large-hearted man, much beloved by his friends; entirely patriotic & benevolent in his theory, tastes, & practice.”

I’m so upset at how cute this is
Adorable :3
I feel you on being old especially on here. I must be the grandma of tumblr. 27 over here, just fill me a epsom salt bath and I'll give you hard candies.
lmao! I swear us Tumblr users in our mid to late twenties are just sitting here amongst all the teenagers like:
Pretty much.
Truth
My mom is the best, we are the best at texting and our doglets are the cutest :3
Pixar’s Brittney Lee built a real life Sugar Rush racetrack from the film “Wreck it Ralph” to help with design and layout.
THIS IS AMAZING.

PREACH!! "When your imagination exceeds your talent."
Thoughts. Just thoughts. *Disclaimer - This isn’t supposed to encompass all disciplines of art, so apologies if this doesn’t apply to you in your situation.
Kinda corny but very accurate.
I just made this and I don’t understand why. I don’t even know what they’re looking at.
I don't even know why I like this but I can't. Stop. Staring.

Go, Speed Racer, GO!
Rough sketch for a female Speed Racer, obviously not finished, there's a few mistakes I gotta fix too. I'm not sure what to do with her torso yet :\

Remember when I was one of those "I totally have a boner for Apple products but don't really want an iPhone" non-believers? Well, I've had a change of heart. I totally want one now... even if it is half the price of a laptop, or about the price of a computer (Mac Mini) and I have little/no money.
My transformation began when I started messing around with the iPod touch that we got free with a laptop if you were a student (yay for student IDs with no "valid thru" date!). It's pretty cool, the screen is super accurate and there's a bunch of neat free apps that I downloaded (if you haven't already, try Sky Burger, Google Earth, WhiteNoise, Hot Dog Down A Hallway (lol)). That's not really the point, so anyway, Doodle app is pretty neat so I started browsing the app store for other apps like it. I ended up buying SketchBook for $2.99 and wow, it's really awesome. I was up til almost 4am playing with it.
I think it's decided, once I have money for an iPhone and once I pay off my credit card, I'm just gonna bite the bullet and buy one. What I think Apple/AT&T should do tho is offer a "recession special" where if you have either an art degree or student loans, it's half price. What a deal! Everyone wins!
Enough babbling, toodles!
