I'm diagnosed with AD/HD, sensory processing disorder, selective mutism, and vocal tics; I'm working on getting a diagnosis for ASD and a physical disability

If it isn't grounded in something outside of itself than it isn't grounded at all.

If it isn't based off another thing, similar or not, than it can't be proven because there is no proof.

Example:

Claim: "The holy book, the Bible is completely true and word of God."

Argument: "We know it is true because it says right here in Proverbs 30:5 that it is the flawless word of God, and God would not lie."

Why it fails: It uses the book to prove the authority of the book. If you do not already believe in the book, this argument offers zero outside evidence to change your mind and therefore does not support the claim.

I'm not saying Christianity or any other religion itself is bad, just the illogical fallacies commonly made by followers of said religion.
