These are just the last three fics I wrote. I appreciate the likes, believe me I do, but you have to understand. Likes do nothing for content creators. It’s the reblogs. Because that’s how you find shit on your dashboard. Through reblogs. Not likes. This isn’t twitter or tiktok or instagram. This is a website that’s run by the reblog system.

Reblogging helps content creators put their stuff out there. Why do you think so many people stopped writing fanfic and creating beautiful fanart and edits? It’s because they put in hours of work and don’t get nearly enough notes for their masterpieces. Yes we do this because we enjoy it but like...some validation won’t hurt. A boost of confidence here and there might be all someone needs to finish whatever thing they started and left.

It has been literal years but every time I see Martin’s tweets posted somewhere and his word is shared as truth while her post is not shared it sort of reiterates the fact that we trust men to speak about feminism more than we believe women who experience it.

This never occurred to me. Not once. That Americans are against Health Care because they think it actually costs tens of thousands of dollars for a broken arm, hundreds of thousands for a complicated birth, millions for cancer treatment.

I’ve had these same drops before living in the UK. They cost me seven GBP.

It’s the exact same drug, same steroid, same strain of antibiotic. But somehow the US gets away with charging $100 for a generic non brand version of a drug which is easy to create and widely used. It’s downright robbery, but also a form of eugenics through poverty and class warfare. You keep the poor poor by making sure basic necessities remain unattainable and then you make it seem like the norm so no one fights it.

The rest of the world is not like this.

The sky turned completely black around three in the afternoon partly because of smoke coming from the Amazon rainforest, WHICH IS 2300 KILOMETERS AWAY FROM THE CITY, where the government has greatly increased the amount of land being burned for profit. People are getting sick, animals are dying, native territory is being lost to the flames.

This is what the sky looked like in my city yesterday, in the early afternoon.

It got so dark so fast the city had to turn on the lamp posts and night lighting.

It waste time and money which are two very important things in the film industry. And if you aren’t getting the money you need for it and it happens consistently so they aren’t going to waste the money.

The general assumption, back then, was; if somebodies carrying a gun like this, their going to USE it. Today? People have gotten used to the idea that these idiots might be making some kind of, ‘2nd Amdment Political Statement’. Now it seems people are reluctant to call, willing to wait until/if shooting starts. Far too little. WAY too late.

No one but the man carrying this gun KNOWS WHAT HIS INTENTIONS ARE. No one CAN KNOW why he’s brought this Assault Rifle into a public space full of unwary and likely defenseless people. Until he either walks out of the shop w/o incident OR he unslings that gun and opens fire. We don’t know. We CAN’T know. Anyone aware of OTHER PEOPLE beyond THEMSELVES/Other peoples INTERESTS (up to and including NOT getting shot)? Anyone with any sense of Civic Responsibility, Social Boundaries, or Public Safety? Would. Not. Do. This. So you can already assume their judgement is impaired. DO NOT WAIT to find out how deep that impairment extends. The people who do this sort of thing have no interest/concern for YOUR safety, so you’re going to have to look after it yourself. Leave the establishment immediately- directly, don’t wait for the Cheque or your order to arrive. JUST. LEAVE. AND-

Call even if you know other people have done/are doing the same. Practice YOUR Civic Duty by notifying Authorities of a potentially EXTREMELY dangerous, public, situation, even if it overwhelms their call centers/dispatch. Don’t let Dispatch blow you off with ‘We already know/we know this guy/nothing we can do, it’s his Right’ You have a right to safety in a public spaces, You have NO IDEA what he intends, AND IT’S THEIR JOB TO ENFORCE/INSURE PUBLIC SAFETY. ‘Git yo ass down here and MANAGE this situation!!!’

Worried about walking out on your check? Don’t be. Again, you are CONCERNED FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY. In Open Carry States, business establishments can and do post signage stipulating that guns are NOT ALLOWED on premise. Those that do post this signage will understand why you left. Those that don’t? After calling 911, contact the store or it’s Franchise Office and ask WHY they don’t. Inform them that they can wait for you to come back & settle up AFTER this public threat has left the area. OR they can just deal with the loss of revenue from people leaving without paying BECAUSE THEY ALLOWED A MAN WITH AN ASSAULT RIFLE TO FREELY ENTER THEIR STORE. Suggest that they might wanna take any revenue loss up with HIM.

If this became the Standard Response to this kind of irresponsible and, frankly, infantile behavior? How long do you think it will go on before SOMBODY, Retailers, Police, Legislatetors, do SOMETHING about it?

Heck, the head writer on Avatar: The Last Airbender has co-created a show on the same level as ATLA and no one seems to know.

So this is a message to all Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra fans. Aaron Ehasz, the previous head writer on ATLA, is the co-creator of The Dragon Prince (AND co-founder of Wonderstorm, a new animation company), a netflix original that is every bit as genius as ATLA.

The only problem? Netflix never advertises it and it’s constantly carrying around the threat of being cancelled. Not because it’s a bad show, but because no one even knows it exists.

The show has a vibe extremely similar to ATLA, with the opening being accompanied by “previously on...”, a similar style of humor, and one of the main trip being voiced by the same actor who voiced Sokka. Even in the first episode it’s hard not to tell that it’s created by the same person. The characters are extremely diverse, with different races, different disabilities, different sexualities, etc. There’s a blind pirate, a deaf general (whom is our queen and we whorship accordingly), lesbian queens, gay elves, characters working to overcome toxic families, etc.

The main antagonist? I still have no idea. The line between “good” and “evil” is so blurred that even though there’s a war, it’s impossible to choose which side is right and which is wrong. The man who’s originally seen as an antagonist,,,,, we don’t even know if he’s in the wrong or not anymore.

The animation is a little wonky in the first season, sure, but they saw the complaints and changed it accordingly. Heck, even with the animation the way it is every single frame looks like a painting, and you become so engulfed in the story you hardly notice what might’ve bothered you in the first episode.

Fjdkkdkdkf i maybe rambled a little to much, but listen—

ATLA was made years ago, and the creators haven’t stopped creating, saying they’ll never live up to the legacy that ATLA left is kinda,, how do I say this,,,, insulting? Imagine writing a fanfic or drawing a picture ten years ago and having it go viral, and you’re still creating content that has improved greatly, only everyone is so hung up on that one piece of content you created that you refuse to give anything else a chance.

Aaron has had YEARS to improve his talents. Instead of comparing this small clip of TDP to the entire legacy of ATLA, simply look at season 1 of ATLA. The improvement is clear. In no way can two 9-episode seasons of a show ever live up to a full length show with several comics, a spinoff series, and people’s childhoods.
