catherine aka cat is from seattle. her family, the mantles, made their name in the medical field, being leading doctors for generations. she's born on january 31, 1992 and she's twenty-seven at the beginning of residency. she the second of four siblings and she has a non-identical twin. she went to med school at john hopkins (😭).
she's a whole thing with her mother in which she's very similar to her and she constantly compares herself to her mother but also she doesn't really know her mum just "the surgeon" and she perceives herself as her mother's disappointment but she constantly tries to prove herself to her and gain her approval <- a dynamic that she keeps simulating with her mentors. #mytheme
this is how she actually looks in game:
personality-wise she’s instinctive and ambitious but she's mostly driven by a need to prove that her success belongs to her alone. she knows lots of people who are «her friends» but none who are very close to her as she's taught that most people wanted to get something from her so her friendships are somewhat superficial and she doesn't "do relationships". cat is someone who struggles to openly communicate vulnerability and she tends to hide pain behind sarcasm or recklessnes (i.e., she literally copes through partying and drinking). anyways most of what she does is done to hide her desperate desire for recognition, especially from her mother. she will romance jackie!

I like how the top (justified) complaint about PlayChoices is that all their stories are AI slop now, so people are moving to Candlelight Games' Spellfyre app. Completely ignoring that everything about Spellfyre art is made with AI. Backgrounds, character art, animations all are so painfully obviously AI generated. Not to mention the diabolical scenes model where you play one minute scenes with keys and spend more time watching ads than playing the actual story. This... Isn't it.
