Productivity Apps

I have explored many different apps through the last three weeks. My most favorite productivity app is Google Drive. I am familiar with it and I use it on a daily basis. It is easy to create and share documents with others and you are able to edit documents that are shared with you. That is a great feature because two or more people can be working on a project at the same time. You are able to see where the other person or people are in the document because everyone has a different color for their username within the document.

The other feature I like about Google Drive is while you are typing and working, you don’t have to worry about saving the document. It saves automatically!! This is great for me, because I am the person who would type up a whole page and forget to save, then my laptop dies and I lost everything. So!! The automatic save is GREAT!!

Google Drive is a wonderful tool to use. I’ve been using it for years now, and I love it. It is amazing how easy it is to keep all of your documents organized. It’s also wonderful how you can share with other teachers, administration, and students directly from your drive. This is definitely a great tool to use as a teacher and a student.

Camera, Photos, and Presentations

I haven’t had much experience with cameras and taking photos. Cell phone, over the years, have made it so easy for people, (Myself) to take great pictures. There are so many apps out there now too, that help us to upload pictures, edit pictures, and make slide shows with the pictures we have or take. I think that I have gotten to the point where I will try to figure out a new presentation app or photo app without being worried that I will mess up something. I have really excited that I am able to edit pictures on my phone just using the app on it. It makes it easier for me to share pictures and edit them right then and there. I use Shutterfly, a lot, for printing photos, like I said in my discussion, and it is helpful to get a good quality print for photos. I like that it uploads automatically from my gallery on my phone and if I am having trouble uploading, I can do it manually. It is just an easy way to get pictures onto the cloud. Overall, there are so many different apps for all things, these apps have just made it easier for all people to have better photos and pictures.

I just tried out Shutterfly, and I really liked how easy it was to use. I used to use a site called Clark Color, and, now, I like Shutterfly MUCH better!

Introduction

Personal Background

I am Casi and have been married for seven years. I grew up 5 minutes from where I currently live. I like my home and that I am able to live so closely to my parents. I like to play in my flower beds and working on my home. We have a German Short Hair that just turned 1 year old in December. We are hoping to breed him soon with another German Short Hair. He is my baby and enjoy my time with him. I like to hangout with my friends and family in my free time. We like to go riding in the summer in our Razor. It is always a good time to go on trails in the woods and have challenges with obstacle courses.

Educational Background

I have a degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. I am working on my Master’s in Early Childhood. I should graduate in May!! I will have gotten both degrees at Clarion University. I work as a Preschool Teacher in Franklin, PA and have worked for the Child Development Center for seven years. I enjoy teaching and love listening and educating young children.

Mobile Devices

I have a little background in mobile apps, meaning I download them then use them. I don’t worry too much about other apps I’m not familiar with. I like to explore apps that I have, and it is easy to explore apps on your mobile device.

Choosing this class and what I hope to get…

I chose this class to fulfill my certification for online teaching and I hope to learn more about apps and educating others online.

This is my first time using tumblr ... So, I’m not sure exactly how to leave a comment. Hopefully, this is right. But, I think it is awesome that you work with preschoolers. You are a saint because I do not think I’d be able to do that.
