Having monsters of different sizes who used different sized books and architecture was a fun aspect to the Monsters University Main Library set.  We designed the library to have an almost dimensional Escher-esque quality to it since there was going to be a Scare Games capture the flag challenge here while maintaining the feeling of some of the old university libraries we visited. We wanted to have fun with it as a place where the giant Librarian might spend a lot of her time.  Almost like tunnels of books.  the concept for the skylight in this piece was a web pattern to imply the home and trap of this multi-legged (er,tentacled) librarian.

I personally like how cheesy / tacky the heart nipples were in her original outfit lol. They fit the outlandish/loud wrestler personality. However, I totally understand why they’d make the change.
