MUSE SUMMARY

   Alexander Anderson, infamously known as “The Judas Priest” and many other monikers, is a zealous monster hunter who is in service to The Roman Catholic Church, specifically belonging to “Vatican Section XIII”, also known as the “Iscariot Organization” (named after the betrayer Judas Iscariot), a top-secret section of Vatican operations. He has been genetically augmented to have an accelerated healing factor rendering him nigh-immortal, as well as intensified physical abilities beyond what is possible for humans. Holy spells and sacred bayonets, summoned at will in seemingly infinite quantities, are at his disposal. 

   Notoriously sadistic and unhinged, Anderson displays a softer side by being a caretaker at an orphanage when not called in for Iscariot duty. Since Hellsing is not a very long story and a lot of specifics are left out (including backstory and excessive depth for Anderson), I have expanded his character with my own personal headcanons. More details can be found as part of my rules and dossier.

This blog can, will, and DOES feature some dark and heavy themes/topics. All triggers are tagged appropriately lest a mistake be made.

I am relaxed when it comes to discussing and roleplaying dark topics and truly do enjoy exploring heavy themes/events... but if I feel if something is too much, I will opt to keep it on Discord.

I do not follow blogs that write explicit rape, pedophilia, or incest. Nor do I follow any blogs that I feel give off a holier-than-thou, callously entitled attitudes simply because they write highly triggering subjects. I’m not a “puritan” type either though, I will equally avoid blogs that come off as intensely policing and judgmental of the reasonable exploration of darker topics.

Possible blog triggers include: religious zealotry, religious trauma, gore,  violence, body horror, internalized homophobia, emotional and physical abuse, non-explicit sexual abuse, toxic and/or unhealthy relationships, addiction, substance abuse, and in-depth exploration of mental illness.

Nazis are a part of Hellsing’s canonical story as major antagonists, but I WILL NOT interact with any of the Nazi characters in Hellsing EXCEPT for one blog so far. Mentions of them will be tagged as #nazis tw, but frankly I hardly ever do mention them. Fuck Nazis, man.

I try my best to stray away from IC religious bashing. It may be hard to avoid for some muses, but I will message if I have any concerns. Anderson mostly bashes Protestants which is just... Christian-on-Christian violence, so I won’t really be holding back on that.

ABOUT ANDERSON & MY INTERPRETATION

Anderson is a character hard to pinpoint morally. I’m not particularly invested in definitively labeling him a “good” or “bad” guy. He can be really gross, he can really kind--- he is a complex character.

I headcanon Anderson to be a childhood abuse survivor and this plays a large role into my interpretation, particularly about how Anderson treats children.

I headcanon Anderson to have had struggled with substance abuse and addiction in his past. I am a recovering addict myself. I cope and vent about my struggles and cravings through Anderson. There is a lot of stigma and misconceptions about addicts still hurting us. If you see me talking, maybe even roleplaying, Anderson going through something “ugly” as part of being an addict, please try to understand it in a way mindful of the place of experience this is coming from.

My interpretation of Anderson has untreated Bipolar Disorder and C-PTSD.

I headcanon Anderson to be strongly attracted to masculinity (he can be described as either gray-bisexual/romantic or gray-androsexual/romantic). Due to the culture he’s in, themes of internalized homophobia may arise. Anderson himself is more open-minded and progressive, and is pro-LGBTQA+. NOTE: I once headcanoned him as gay until I realized it no longer fit my interpretation, so some older posts may reference it.

I mix together the manga Dark Horse translation and both the sub/dub of Hellsing Ultimate for my Anderson characterization. I retain some of his accent but tone it down.

SHIPPING

Anderson/Alucard is a primary ship on this blog, so you’ll be seeing plenty of it here. I do ship with several Alucards, but I never expect/auto-ship it from an Alucard blog. Each ship dynamic and Alucard interpretation is unique, I’m not “collecting” Alucards or anything similar to that mentality.

I am more than happy with any non-romantic/sexual dynamics with an Alucard. 

I ship with chemistry. I’m rather relaxed about ships and smut, I’ll confess. I find it fun, so I’m pretty lenient and open to suggestions. I’ll be bluntly honest about my thoughts on shipping.

Toxic, unhealthy, and/or “hate” ships are likely on this blog. I will do my best to tag these with triggers and individual ship tags. I don’t take these dynamics lightly and I expect OOC communication. If you act conceited on your blog about writing dark topics, I will literally stop writing these topics with you and possibly unfollow.

I DON’T do interaction exclusivity at all. I will never ask to be your only Anderson either.
