An Art Nouveau Guild of Handicraft cylindrical silver biscuit barrel and cover complete with green glass liner. The exterior decorated with three tree designs set with a single green cabuchon, the cover with stylized green finial. Designed by Charles Robert Ashbee. 14.5cm diameter at base. 18cm high. Coming up in our October 2016 Jewellery auction:- an early 19th Century gentleman's 18k skeleton open faced pocket watch with repeat action by Breguet a Paris, stamped DLG K18 13591, the back plate with sunburst decoration above a vacant cartouche, 5.75cm diameter, (with a small scallop shell watch key). English School (early 20th Century), Three gun dogs sitting by sporting luggage under an L.M.S. sign, oil, 76 x 50cm. L.M.S. stands for the London Midland and Scottish Railway which operated from 1923 to 1947.
