How does it feel to know a truth and not be a part of it?

It’s tough not understanding exactly why your mind has a mind of its own

Does it make sense that in a group of 20 something people you feel alone

Why does this creative haven as brilliant as it is, is a painful place to be

Why does my artistic side not exclaim and let the rest of me, see

See, cause I want to be connected with you my love and experience the freedom of art

But truly this parasite consumes my happy and my bliss and poisons my heart

Fear, intensified by irrational monsters that lurk from my deepest parts

Why old friend must you disturb me now

Why are you my friend, please tell me how

How could you make me lesser

Lesser than who I am

My master is higher than you, high above this place

Meet my maker and look him face to face

The joy of the Lord is your strength Nehemiah 8:10

I promise you we’ll win in the end

Never again will you Constrictor of my mind

Hold me hostage to cry behind

Those walls you made me build to distance me from Peace

Peace come back and release yourself

So I may be with her, my maker, and myself

Alone, but not lonely

In company, but not lost
