It was that time of the year. Where people slowed down and time sped up, barreling us towards the new year whether we were ready or not. Shops were deserted as everyone recovered from the economic hit of Christmas and the streets were empty, families enjoying the warmth. It was a peaceful time and one of Jo's favorites. The warm fries in her hand was a blessing in the cold weather.
- 'Its starting to look a bit like a ghost town, huh?' she asked the person next to her, a small smile.
