“Why do you say that?” Cher asked her boyfriend (oh, it felt good to be able to refer to him as her boyfriend.). Sure, a roller rink required a level of coordination that her boyfriend didn’t really seem to possess. She’d seen Josh trip over air once, seriously but it was a cool place. Why wouldn’t they have wanted to come here? It was like the 70′s had come back to life and she’d dressed up in something that called back to the era of disco and really long songs. “No, I’m not.” Cher told him, wondering why he’d think such a thing. Well, she knew why because a couple of months ago, she would have told him off had he embarrassed her but she’d come sort of far from that girl. “You say that like it’s a bad thing but I know you’re going to have a ton of fun.”Â
“Because I’m pretty sure you used to keep a count of how many times I would trip around the house,” Josh smirked as he reached over to grab her hand. At the time, he was pissed but now it was kind of funny to think about. Taking a deep breath, he felt like he had been transported into another era as they walked in. His eyes blinked a few times between the bright colors and blasting music. LA surely knew how to outdo itself. “You’re not?” He asked, sounding surprised. “Well then I’ll make sure to fall right in the middle of the rink.” He squeezed her hand only saying that to tease her. “Yeah, if I make it out of here without an injury. Your dad would say this place is just a lawsuit waiting to happen.”
